Here is another example that I ran across. We need to have some standards of what we consider a find. Otherwise I could sit here and log finds and never even go out the door.
The most common type of log is a rolled up piece of paper along with info identifying it as a cache. Some times it is lined with spaces for date and name.
"If you've got a Garmin; Find, City, Nearest"
That should work with Magellans also as long as it has a background map. The procedure should be different, though.
After looking at the park over the weekend, I have concluded that a Cito event is not required, because the city has been cleaning up the park. BTW, Team misguided, I love your signature!
So, I guess you could say I owe it all to Prying Pandora . BTW, My dad is W7SY. I think I have transfered the infection to my best friend and his older brother. They don't have a gps yet so the only way they can go is with me.
I came across Prying Pandora's Jenkins Creek cache while I was in Jenkins Creek park, which is right behind my home. I showed my best friend and my dad and my best friend and I looked at the site. I forgot about it for a while until my dad brought home from the library a copy of Geocaching for dummies because he had just gotten a new gps for work and wanted to learn more about it. Ironically I am the one who is hooked. I used his until I finally got my own.
Is there any Kent area Geocachers who would like to organize a CITO event to clean up Jenkins Creek Park? I would but it is kind of over my head. I would like to have it March 18th or 19th.
