Yeah, I know that. I used to have a Gecko on the bike, then the 60csx, just fancy an edge 800, anyway the wife said "go on treat yourself!" So what better reason do I need :) :)

I am trying that now I have found a piece of rubber band across the batteries seems just thick enough. Just need to hit the trails at speed to test it, works when banging it on my knee

Hi, Our GPSMap 60csx has developed the annoying habit of powering off when mounted on my bike. Garmin will replace like for like for £92 as its out of warranty (6 years old). But I am thinking of getting a Edge 800 specifically for the mountain bike and keeping the csx for caching while it lasts as it seems fine when treated gently Just wondering if the csx packs in completely will I still be caching

Another vote here for the 60csx. If you are a mountainbiker you want something that works under tree cover, and this one does. Love mine -
BRILLIANT Thanks a lot

I liked to be able to find our campsite on google earth and then find all the caches around the area, picking out all the walking/cycling ones
-
Thanks for the info, a real bugger losing that I found it very useful for planning caches in new areas ie on our hols

I haven't been caching for a while due to other commitments but now am able to do a few again. However using google earth it says network kml link disabled Why?? I have had it expire before which was not a problem, i just downloaded it again. Is this a new thing? any help much appreciated

Took me ages to work it out, sorry, cant remember how i did it, was so long ago

AFAIK you open memory map, then at the top, click GPS then import from gps. Sorted

I have topo on mine, and while its not perfect (some paths not shown) it is infinitely better than the crappy base maps it comes with. It is great for navigating on road when setting out for the cache, and the contour lines are useful when off road. That said, I use memory map for planning cycle rides, then export the route to my GPSr

Mines excellent too, and it came from the UK

I work with dairy cattle, and would say that the ones with calves to avoid are beef cattle especially the brown ones (Limousins) They are very protective of their calves especially if dogs are around Not the best pic I know

yep, I would go along with all that is posted here. Turn by turn navigation to get to parking spots etc is spot on -
Shouldn't that be "It'll never cache on"? OO naughty, making a serious subject into a trivial bad pun game Oh no he's just caching in on someone elses idea I'll get my coat

Are there any Caches in those woods near High Wycombe, and if so have they been muggled yet -
Yes I started out with a Geko. If it wasnt for a bit of luck on eBay I wouldnt have the CSx . must admit though its the dogs for finding caches under tree cover
