  1. Hello. I've moved from Maryland (where I lived when I started geocaching) to New Jersey. I have changed my address in my profile. However, the geocaching weekly emails that tell me of new caches in my area are still showing caches around Maryland. I tried cancelling the emails and restarting them, but it didn't help. Any suggestions? J Pass Sussex County, New Jersey
  2. I recently put out my first cache and it took forever for it to be reviewed. And then, it was denied because the reviewer said it was in a national park. But, it's not. It's on the Georgetown University campus next to a national park. How do I get this cleared up? Help. Anyone? J n Jeena
  3. I'm just about to try anything at this point. It's been a week since posting the cache and it's not reviewed yet. Having it take so long has really taken the wind out of my sails. I was very excited about my first cache drop. In fact, my coworkers and I put this one together. I guess the reviewer for my area is out of town or something. J n Jeena
  4. I have participated in many organizations, clubs, not-for-profits, that were basically run by a group of volunteers. My experience has always been that a handful of people usually take care of everything. The volunteers always wish other people would step up and help out more. But, the truth is, usually just a small number of people do most of the work. I enjoy being part of that group. Although I'm new to geocaching, I'm not new to the idea of helping out and volunteering. Please let me know if you need another volunteer in the Washington, D.C. area. I'd be willing to lend a hand. J n Jeena
  5. Thanks. How is a cache reviewed? Does the volunteer actually go looking for it? Do you have written guidelines for volunteers to follow? How do you become a volunteer? J
  6. Good afternoon all. I was just wondering what the average time is for getting a submitted cache published. I submitted a cache a couple of days ago and it's not published yet. Also, there are no comments in the log. I'm new to this so please forgive my ignorance. I'm also not trying to push. I'm actually just curious. If it takes a day or two or three then I'd like to plan than when placing caches. For instance, I'd like to make sure a new cache is available for the Saturday morning crowd, so I'll need to submit it on Tuesday?? Thanks in advance for your help. J n Jeena bohemehouse.com/geocache
