  1. Yes, you can. I adopted around thirty caches in the Bristol and Bath area (including a series of 21 where one had been archived). I put a box back in the same position using the same co-ordinates and even the same name and it was accepted okay. Does this imply an interest? I only ask because obviously I won't go and collect the box(es), TBs etc if they're going to be 'revived' so to speak...
  2. Is it not possible to set a 'new' cache in the same location, which would coincidentally use the same box & contents?
  3. Regretfully we've have decided, due to some health issues, to close down our caches. We plan to retrieve boxes etc in the next month or so, including the moving on of TBs & GCs. In the interim, if anyone out there wants to take any of them over, please let us know via email ASAP - I'd assume the Stourhead group should be taken on as a job-lot. We'll still do a few caches from time to time but the maintaining of our own caches has become problematic of late (hence their neglect!). Thanks in advance to anyone who helps us out her. All Best. HH Rob & Sue
  4. Yep!. If it's your bug it'll be under the pull down menu labeled Recalculate Distance. Thanks all - I knew it was in there somewhere...
  5. How do I mark a TB I own as lost? I've done it before but the site has changed somewhat & now I can't seem to find it!
  6. So we've been caching for some time now and have been on a couple of caching trips both of which found us laden down with print outs, maps etc. etc. We want this years trip to be different. We're going to the Lake District where there are far too many caches for us to cover in the few days we're there. Rather than taking an entire ream of paper with us, we have decided to go paperless if possible. Question is how? What kit do we need: Pocket pc, PDA, New GPS? and how best do we use it and how much will it cost (we've got a few hundred to spare) All help gratefully accepted...
  7. We're both archaeologists in one form or another and the name stemmed from that - hunter-gatherers, head-cults etc...and how many caches are secreted in hedges??? Rob & Sue HHs
  8. A quick message to all Frome area Cachers - if you haven't already visited 'Building the Dream' at Witham Friary then soon would be a good time. Not only does it involvea lovely woodland walk, but you area rewarded with wonderful views from the Cache itself. There is, of course, an ulterior motive here. We left a book yesterday which didn't fit in the Cache Box, so is underneath. Although wrapped in sealed plastic bag, i fear for its survival through the winter. Please give it a home! It will entertain you through those cold winter nights! Rob (Hedgehunter)
