  1. Well, I'm pleased to report that the TB that I thought was lost, has journeyed forth and is not back in circulation. In the mean time, I have released a second bug. Thanks for everyone's insight on TB traveling philosophy. HW

  3. I've released one travel bug so far. It was picked up a month a go and might as well be lobster bait - the geocacher who has it, has done nothing with it. The one bug that I found was placed in a cache in aboutfive days. What is a reasonable length of time for waiting before I graveyard this travel bug??? Perhaps this site needs a geocacher scoring system for how quickly a bug is moved...
  4. I know the feeling, my one and only travel bug was picked up two weeks ago and has stalled. I did pick up one over the weekend and will install it in a cache before next weekend to keep it moving.........
  5. I'm considering starting my own TB race - sort of a cannonball run. Routing to me does not matter, just start to destination and return.

  7. I think that one week is long enough to hold one travel bug. Most of us only get out on the weekends anyways. If/when I find a TB, my intent would be to move it as quickly as is reasonable. Remember, the TB belongs to someone who is interested in its travels. IMHO, Hot Wheels

  9. I logged my first two benchmarks this past weekend. The online descriptions do not always meet reality. In my case, I was able to log two that were about fifty feet apart. Reading the online descriptions was quite interesting, but the actual benchmarks were three foot masts, one inch in diameter. Not even close to the online description. I found another partial 'benchmark' on my way to the cache - that was not listed. Keep looking, they are out there somewhere and always neat to find.

  11. As a coin collector, I've never heard of geocoins. What are they? Source of supply? k1bs@aol.com
