  1. Add me to the confused crowd. How can you view it as a competition if YOU are not participating? Otherwise it's just your name on a list somewhere. Well apparently, a blank on a list somewhere.
  2. In this instance, a Wherigo/challenge was assigned a Mystery icon. 6 to some, half-a-dozen to others. I don't really see a clear case for listing it as either so I think it would be up to the reviewer in these cases.

    need help

Happened to me too. I was using IE11 and then tried in Firefox and it ended up working. But I have since run Geocaching.com in compatibility mode on IE11 and it has worked since then. So you can try both those options. As a last resort you can always download the GPX file to your desktop and then drag into the GPX folder on the Garmin. A bit of a pain but will get the job done.
  4. Same for my Garmin 450 even though it showed I had the latest version of the plugin installed. I had to download the GPX files directly to the GPX folder on the Garmin manually so no big difference but not very convenient.
  5. I have to agree that some cemetery caches provide history and interesting stories. Without a local cemetery cache GC29Q0R. I would have never known the interesting but sad story of WW1 and WW2 German POWs buried in Canada German War Graves. More interesting to me was that those graves are only 100 metres from the resting spot of my grandfather who fought in WW2, specifically the Germans. That really brought it home personally and it showed me the extent of the World Wars and just how far reaching they were. These German soldiers buried so far from home and family is justification enough for me to place a cache to bring people there.
  6. Hahahahaha. I like the titles "Transgressions" or "Drunken Stupor".
  7. On the flip side, you're the one taking the risk if the coords are wonky... I like to call FTF hounds "Beta Testers". But not in a negative way. They get their rush of the hunt and indirectly confirm issues with the hide (coords, hint, D/T ratings) for the rest. I think that's a perk for non FTF'ers.
  8. I recently completed a multi just like this (GC48AQJ) and the pieces were hand cut out of plywood. It was a blast and very enjoyabe. It would seem to me that the wooden pieces would last awhile but I can't say first hand as the cache is still new. It would be funny to use one of those Melissa and Doug puzzles for 2 year olds, LOL.
  9. I bring the lab/husky geopooch with me every chance I get. In fact many hunts are an excuse for her daily walk and she has been with me for about 90% of my finds. In the quest for smilies, we have climbed mountains, crossed rivers, traversed swamps, and have been out in the rain, snow, heat, and in the early a.m. darkness. The only time she doesn't come is during my kayak hunts as I wouldn't want an 80lbs dog on my lap for hours. She is getting up in years and is slowing down but I'm looking forward to many more years with my furry geocaching partner and great friend. I just wish I had taken up geocaching when she was a puppy as I would have trained her to sniff out moldy log book scent. Would make finding caches a ot easier .
  10. I wonder if they signed the log book then?
  11. Cops confirmed it's a geocache. My link
