South Wales 2007 event in advanced planning.
The Great Redmondo replied to derrylynne's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Early May Bank Holiday = 7th May 2007 Thank goodness Andy, I'm so pleased you said that! Ben and Joe won’t mind attending now . Even better, both you and Keith will be there to referee . D -
Many thanks MM, that was the longest five day wait of my life.

This years event ('06) was a day event but some of the campers stayed on a bit longer. I believe next years date is a Bank Hol weekend so we'll book in for three nights (maybe even four if I'm a good girl ). Debbie. -
Our receipt and booking confirmation states '1 Qty - Sunshine - 3 nights'. (Would obviously prefer sunshine during the daytime but at least I'll be able to find my glass/ bottle of wine). Debbie

Come on Gareth, we know its really you ! -
Am i missing something here ? Why do we need GMail ? I have set up GSAK with my POP3 details and manually tell GSAK to interogate my incoming mail each evening. It searches through all of my messages, ignores those that aren't PQs and imports the PQs in one fell swoop. Once this is done, I can open Outlook and go through my mail as usual - all of the PQs have been imported into GSAK and deleted already. What is it that GMail does in addition ?

Looks like a bargain to me
The Great Redmondo replied to Mad H@ter's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
having got the same offer again, I checked this out - its a SirfSTAR II - I assume this is predecessor to the III. Anyone got anuy experience? I'm trying to justify a purchase and struggling! (I already have full paperless caching facilities...) Oh yes I have experience... Mine arrived yesterday. I unpacked it and hated it immediately. It's all plastic and feels cheap and nasty. The car bracket is good but the power connector from the car cigar lighter to the bottom of the unit is of very poor design and only powers the device some of the time depending on the angle the connector is held at. I used it for the hrs drive in and out of Bristol today... well actually I left it in the boot on the way home 'cause I just didn't like it. It functioned OK, the software does the right sort of thing (I would have replaced it with TomTom anyway) but feels and looks like the cheapest calculater you could buy from the pound shop. I got home tonight, repacked it and got a return number from Global Positioning Systems website. Enough said. -

We were going to buy GPS enabled Pocket PC anyway and sell the old one, this looks ideal so we've ordered one. It appears that the deal is only on for the weekend. -

Are there any Night Caches?
The Great Redmondo replied to Bambography's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
There are two night caches in the Somerset area: 1) Hold Your Nerve? by Captain Gore-tex 2) Dead Woman Walking Night Cache by mtngirls. We completed 'Hold Your Nerve?' with our teenager and eleven year old and didn't get home until gone 2am, it was one of the most fun caches we've done. Debbie -

Yet Another Camping Event
The Great Redmondo replied to The Royles's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Just caught the local weather forecast and it looks like a fine and dry weekend for camping in Bristol. I booked the weather just like Scally told me to - that will help to stop his printouts smearing in the rain. -
Congratulations to TeamSP
