Hi Becky, The June dates are the dates for the Carry On Camping Weekend. Other than that it looks fab. We'd more than likely make your August dates but have family commitments on the July dates. But .....you can't please all the people all the time and I'm sure if you publish people will attend, Swanage in the summer sounds tempting. Best of luck. Debs

caching event,hemel hempstead herts.sun 8th april
The Great Redmondo replied to bones1's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Having planned a long weekend away in Derbyshire, with my parents, attending this one could be tricky . However, I’ve entered into discussions and I’m working on a day release pass. It’s been a few years since I’ve talked my parents round to my way of thinking but if I can wangle it, we’ll be there. Debs -

Yes we like his logs too, Bless him! Honest and often a complete contradiction to how the Captain has told it. He he . We always read a Captain Gore-tex log first and then get the real picture from the Corporal. Soz Bruce

Navigation Software for Pedestrians

If you are trying to keep costs down, you may be interested in a solution I keep in my bag for days when I don't take my PPC with me. There is a version of TT that runs on a 'Symbian Operating System' which is Nokia smart phone to you and I. So I bought a 2nd hand phone for £50 and a Blue tooth GPS for £20 (both ebay) which together are quite usefull for finding your way round London without having £300 of PPC to be mugged for. -

If you send me the photo, will be able to use it to claim both? Seems a shame to waste it. Debs -

I particularly intended this cache of mine to be evil and some of the logs have even said that.

Camping in Snowdonia
The Great Redmondo replied to PopUpPirate's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Either campsite, both look fine and in such a lovely area too. Most of June ‘07 looks good for us and you can count us in (except 15th – 17th). Half term in Somerset is 26th May – 3rd June, which makes the beginning of June ideal (or not depending on your point of view). Debs -
South Wales 2007 event in advanced planning.
The Great Redmondo replied to derrylynne's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
The West Viewers commitment gave me the push I needed to book early. Just booked a caravan and awning pitch, electric hook-up, three nights for all five of us for only £10.50 per night. Must be the best-valued pitch I’ve booked all year ! They’re clearly expecting us as the receptionist asked if I was part of the Geocaching group before I had a chance to make the booking. Looking forward to seeing you all next year (if not before). -
