Lianne, I've just made public a 'Route' along the Kennet & Avon I did about a month and a half ago. I have no idea how you access it. It is called 'Kenett and Avon' - note spelling (I think it's wrong but that's what I called it). Perhaps someone can suggest how liane can find it as I cannot find it under the 'Public Routes' button ???

Can we just say a really big thank you to all the kind words offered here in this thread. We continue to be completely overwhelmed by the new friends we have made through Geocaching. A list which gets longer with each event. You have made us feel part of a very special community. Thank you all for taking the trouble and we look forward to seeing you all soon. John, Bad news I'm afraid. Magellan are part of Thales Inc. They also make the 'eXplorist' range, I have one (that's how we started caching). The eXplorist range has a poor reputation in terms of reliability both hardware and firmware. There is at least one thread on the forums tracking a number of users 'issues' worldwide (including me and mine). Long story short is that these issues have highlighted Magellan's poor customer support. The final part of this sorry tale is that I work for Thales UK and am disappointed to say the least with the product that Thales Inc have released for public use. Paul

Well done to Helen and Carolyn on reaching 600 finds. It’s been a pleasure finding a few of them with you and we had a great laugh on Sunday, first splashing about on the canal for over an hour and then crashing through the woods in the dark. Sheer madness !!!

Very interested. Will need a bit of logistic juggling - the proposed location is a 3 hr drive for us so will probably involve staying overnight somewhere (camping) - we will also need to cadge a favour from a kind hearted relative (Mother/Mother-in-law) to stop our children from eating the house while we're away. The other key piece of info is the date, as already pointed out elsewhere many of us will have commited to various other events throughout the summer. Sounds like a great idea though - looking forward to it already.

Does your Mio have a mini USB connector then ? because I was wondering what the connection was between the charger and the PPC ?
