Wow-and I ship a lot! I couldn't believe how much it cost! Hmm...postage is going up and gas for once is going down...maybe a field trip was in order? It was a lot of fun though...cant wait to receive ours!
  3. I have willpower. I feel very guilty if I open a gift before Christmas. However, when the person who gave it to me is standing right in front of me staring at me, telling em to open it NOW, then I don't see a choice! So if the package says OPEN NOW! I will open it. Aside from that....Dec 25th it is!
  4. My sis-in-law, nephew and I are having a little Christmas Party this weekend! We'll be doin' a little shopping, and probably a little baking, and who knows what else! We are totally looking forward to creating our packages! I'll have to dig out the Bing Crosby and egg nog!

  7. If you find a coin in a cache, chances are that it belongs to someone else and is an activated traveling coin that is meant to move from cache to cache. (like a travel bug) Some coins have very small tracking numbers or the tracking number could be on the edge of the coin, so look closely to find out if it is a trackable coin. Once you find the tracking number you can look up the coin's mission and log the coin under trackables on geocaching.com. IF the coin does happen to be nontrackable (no tracking number and no text that reads track at geocaching.com) then it is considered to be swag and can be kept but you should trade even or up for it. I think the easiest way to tell if a trackable coin has been left to move on as a traveler or to keep as a trade item is to try logging it. If you get the coins info page complete with owner and goal-then it moves on. If you get the This trackable item hasn't been activated. Activate it now. then its a keeper. Of course you trade even for it, though. (Unless someone actually gives it to you).
  8. Just anyone TRY to pry that coin outta my hands...! Hiya, Mike!!!! Me, too!!!!
  9. I can't stand to wait much, and I can't stand too much weight!
  10. The need to wait is not a trait that I ever could contemplate. Why waste time that could be mine? I would never hesitate. Sorry, Its late, I'm loopy, and my team probably just lost. : (
  11. I would definitely want to order one. These are beautiful. I lost friends and family that day, and get this-worked for a newsroom that would not allow us peons to listen to the reports as the came in because it interfered with our work! What a terrible way to find that someone close to you is gone. I think these coins are a beautiful token. I love every coin club coin that comes out with the towers, and I would love this one, too.
  12. Thanks, emailed you back! No 6's Sparticus! I do, however, have the #1 coin for TJ and Blondie...
  13. Wow-I always read about other people getting one of these coins, or the other mystery coins. Nothing like this ever comes to my stretch of the woods! I found one of these wishing coins in my binder at Geocoinfest. I can't tell you how excited I was. It is a beautiful coin and a wonderful sentiment. I wish I had the funds to invest in a project like this and spread the joy. Thank you whoever it was that left it for me (and I have a GOOD idea of who it was!!!! You made my day. Heck you made my month, I am still grinning from ear to ear! I feel guilty about the guy sitting at the table with me though. He found one of these coins under his binder as well, but didn't know what it was. He asked another gentleman sitting at the table with us if it might have been his. He ended up giving it to the other gentleman, thinking maybe one of the folks who sat to trade with him might have accidentally left it behind.
  14. I am not sure why I have to subscribe to a Newsletter in order to get an update on coins I paid for (making me a customer by default) but if thats what I have to do, I'll do it. Thanks for the info. OK, now I am a bit alarmed...I am registered already, and I am subscribed to the newsletter already. I don't understand why I haven't been receiving the updates? I checked my Trash and Spam filters in case it is not reaching me-nothing.
  15. Thank you! I don't know why i didn't get the last 2 notices, but just so long as it gets passed along somehow, I am happy!
  16. I think you are one of the two that I didn't get to trade for yet. I will have to check when I get hoome from work. I will also check for 1's and 6's!
  17. I didn't get that email, or the last one mentioned.
  18. I was going to say, someone got buried in the snow, and it isn't my fair city of Buffalo, NY??? Er, I should bit my tongue. Was it only 2 years ago this weekend that Buffalo got pummeled by tons and tons of snow? We lost many a geocache that weekend!
  19. I would love to release some coins in Western New York for you. Sorry you are not well, I wish you a speedy recovery!
  20. Sure hope that holds! Of course, the day with the nicest, driest weather will be the day that we are all indoors!
  21. I also will get 3 $1 oakbucks exp dec-09 but that will take two weeks maybe until I get them. Offers anyone? especially on the -08 bucks. If there had been more time, I would have jumped on this! But Geocoinfest is in 5 days...I don't think they could make it in time : (
  22. Ooh, I love messing with the English language! Jack and Jill climbed down a hill in search of an ammo can. Jack lost no time and quickly made the find, but Jill lost out due to Magellan! hee hee hee!

  24. I did get an email from them a month ago, but it was a group email, so I assumed everyone waiting for a coin got it too? Basically it said they knew they were late but there was problems with a die transfer at the mint, and the resulting coin not looking the same as the previous ones. That was 8/25. It also said they would email again with progress reports...but I haven't received anything since.
  25. Yes, bringing her, but she won't be for trade!!! I'd have to answer a lot of questions to her 5-year old, AndrewPanda, who DOES fancy himself a geocoin collector! Of course, if someone offered the right coin for her..... You is gonna trade your SIL?!?! Wow...coin trading has gotten to be fierce!
