  1. I've been at it quite a long time. I started a week last friday and haven't stopped for lunch or nuffing!!!! :-)
  2. My Drunk Like Me TB goes missing in action quite regular...always turns up in the end though!!
  3. in the words of eliza doolittle.....not blooming likely!!! :-) cheers Dave
  4. Thanks Mrs B that was quite touching!! :-) And...attention seeking??? dadgum right!! lol
  5. lol....that was fun....I just wanted to read the comments that my post would cause. Thanks everyone for the support (of sorts)...I think!? Scrapes Pete??? I dont know what your talking about!? Its all part of the adventure. Oh well, best go log the rest of my finds from the weekend ;-) ps the guy who found 5000 just probably ran out of caches to find!!!!
  6. cheers for the congrats...I'm assuming your congratulating me on my retirement from caching? :-)
  7. I was looking the other way when he found that one!!!
  8. having been introduced to geocaching a while back I didnt think it would suit me at all but I gave it a go for a while just to see if I could get into it. I've now decided that its just not for me, I cant get into it at all so I've decided to hang up the gps, I just dont see what all the fuss is about... so 999 caches is my lot.... Cheers... you see; its not about the numbers!!! Jon Leyshon
  9. I stayed on in work just to listen out for it...I did laugh. At least it got mentioned....good job!
  10. Theres plenty of good caches around there but off the top of my head Foel y mwnt sticks out the most. Its a beautiful spot and I've even revisited just for fun. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...de-a50ef3a63d07
  11. feel free....good idea to put all the links together...I'll be interested to see where he goes next and read his logs...they're pretty cool. I just read the other DNF he had....excellent stuff :-) Hope he didnt mind me activating his coin now I come to think of it!!!?? Well, he hasnt sent me a nasty email yet so I guess I'm safe...although he does now know where I work!!!
  12. your right, that would be scarey...didnt think of it like that. Although I think it was just a coincidence as our printshop is the closest to Merlin's Hill where the coin was. I guess I was just in the right place at the right time luckily.
  13. No idea...but yes it is very cool!!! Cant understand why it wasnt in the cache but half way down the hill though!?
  14. Any ideas on this. Have checked out the guys profile but he has no finds or trackables but he seems to have left an unactivated coin in the most obscure place which I only found by accident. I saw the guy a few days before I found the coin but didn't realise he was a geocacher at the time...as explained in my post for my cache in this link... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...61-513b98f89c45 ...also...heres the link to the strangely amazing DNF he logged at the other cache...'The Last Welsh Dragon' so you can see why I'm so bemused!! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...ef-146795cc3c3d
  15. Yeah...only yesterday while caching I found a nice cosy hole and the first thing I thought of was...'thats a good place for someone to hide their magazines!!!'
  16. No. Not unless it's obvious from their log that they were in exactly the right spot and therefore I suspect that it must have been muggled. As Scottpa commented above, sometimes you can guess that the DNF is down to inexperience: If a "newbie" cacher logs DNFs on a few of our (rather awkward) caches I usually get in touch with a few words of encouragement and maybe an extra hint for them. MrsB Do you mean me Mrs B?!?!?!?
  17. I'm sure you'll make an excellent wife.....I wish someone would make me one!!! :-)
  18. Yeah, and I've just turned 23. Isn't hex wonderful weirdly I've never left my twenties...I tell everyone when they ask I'm currently twenty fifteen
  19. I've had a couple of offers myself but through 'wastebook' rather than GC.com. I just delete them with out making breakfast!! :-)
  20. Dearest Mum,sorry I couldn't make it today but I had a real bad upset stomach type thing. My Parents (The Sandiway Searchers) are on holiday so no mothers day here today... athough she did phone me to tell me she had done a cache on some caribbean island or other!!! If I'd gone caching somewhere exotic on Mothers day I'd have ben cruicified!! I know the feeling. I only managed one of the 2 I was going for My log for mothers day!!!! :-) http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...30-9fe330af2471
  21. I am hoping to go next week car troubles not withstanding Excellent! It will be nice to know we're not on our own! I didnt do any of the new caches around there as a few of us went off to do the cave entrances series in Llangattock instead....so if I'm half as sober as I was last weekend then I will be back up to do the new ones on the Sunday.
  22. can I log myself as coming from, Northwestglamorganshirefolktonsouth County near Scotland
  23. Only once have I ever come across needles....they were a few metres from the actual cache but the owner did ask for feedback because he had a feeling the place was a bit dodgey...so when I told him what I'd found and where, he went and checked for himself and then removed the cache. He was happy to remove it and thanked me for letting him know. We all want to be safe when caching.... Pointy sticks are a good idea though!!! :-)
  24. Thats ok...I'm not really that bothered, I'll go with whatever is put into place. Geocaching ignores all boundaries in my view anyway, so if its just an easy way of classifying caches what difference does it make. Good luck with it though :-)
  25. how about north wales, mid wales and south wales. By the way just wanted to point out after reading the counties list a while back ...that West Glamorgan no longer exists... :-)
