  1. You are aloud to unlock 2 GPS per program. When I wanted to unlock my second GPS, I went threw the unlock process and I obtained a second 25 character digit for unlocking the second unit just like I did for the first one.
  2. I think your GPS is not configured right. Make sure your position format is in hddd.mm.mmm
  3. I don't think it would hold in court. Ask yourself this question, how much does your GPS cost and how much does a ultrasound radar costs. Anotherthing, this I'm not sure but in its history, does your GPS keep the date and time? if not, how could someone proove that it took place at a precise day, at a precise time. Finally, how acurate is a GPS when calculating your speed?
  4. I'd go with Tanks For The Geocache
  5. For owning both the LegendC and 60C, I really wouldn't know which one to keep If I had to keep only one. You can't miss with any of those. LegendC: small and light - 60C: Find and Mark button idientified on button panel LegendC: screen resolution a little higher - 60C: bigger screen also excellent LegendC: better satellite reception (well just a little) - 60C: more memory LegendC: USB powered when connected to PC - 60C: external antenna possible I mean both of them have their personnality and they are excellent units so I guess I'll keep both PS: one thing is sure, a color screen is a must
  6. It doesn't matter if Easy GPS stays on your computer. The importing thing is once you have GSAK installed, click on GPS and tell him the model you are using and the kind of connection you have between you GPS and PC.
  7. Wild guess: how about Not Always Legal Parking NALP
  8. Thanks! Your first suggestion works great. What do you mean that "an icon is also available for that"? If you go to "customize tool buttons" and select "database" you'll see a button titled "global replace" you can put this tool button on the speed bar where all the icones are. PS: to customize tool button, right click on the speedbar
  9. Man do I feel bad This had me so puzzled, I put my office upside down to finaly find a City Select setup disk version 4 which I probably had mistplaced without remembering. Sorry if some people were mislead
  10. Try clicking on <database> <global replace> An icone is also available for that
  11. Well as far as I know, the update only has one CD. At least when I got the update for CS7, there was only one disk in the box. As for CS6, when I bought it, I only had mapsource installed so I went to the store and asked for CS6 so I guess this was a full version.

  13. Your welcome. As far as accuracy, I think reception as a lot to do. The better the reception, the more precise the GPS will be. On clear days or nights, I noticed that mine would get me closer then when it's very cloudy and I'm under heavy tree cover.
  14. I don't think you have a problem. I have a Etrex LegendC and when I open the GPS, it doesn't always point in the direction I'm facing unless I start moving. If your not moving, I don't think that a GPS knows the direction your facing. It will start computing when you start moving. As far as beeing a little off, how off is that. There is usely a 10 to 15 feet error margine (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less). You can't expect a GPS to bring the cache right under you feet. At least, mine doesn't and I'm sure its working properly.
  15. Still can't figure out why some of us don't need a setup disk for the same version. It's just a wild guess but I believe mapsource has to be installed prior to CS. So, would it be possible that the setup disk included with mapsource could have done the job?
  16. Just found the thread I was talking about. Go to page 13 and look for the thread Etrex Legend Question (adhesive problem) It's way down on page 13. Here are the answers: Clean the old adhesive off with alcohol; glue it back on carefully with standard RTV silicone rubber I used the RTV silicone adhesive as well when this happened to my old Venture. Although, the tube I purchased was for sealing leaks in chimneys. Nonetheless, it worked great. The hardest part was getting the old adhesive off. YUCK!
  17. I remember there was a thread for this problem not long ago and the way to repair the unit. Unfortunatly couldn't find it and with the search option dissabled, makes it more difficult to find.
  18. Yep, I think that's the answer. I just looked at the files on disk 1 of 2 and there is a setup.exe
  19. I did the same thing before posting. I looked in my cd boxe of v6 and there are really 2 disks. Go figure.....One is identified 1 of 2 and the other one 2 of 2 and these are the only cd I used when installing CS6.
  20. City Select 6 has only 2 disks. 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. There is no so called setup disk.
  21. Thats the one I use. Also good for my LegendC. Just unclip the 60c bracket. Ajustable backward and forward. Upward and downward. Can turn left or right.
  22. In our case, about a month ago, looking for a cache in the woods, we found a beautiful leather suitcase full of documents. We never found the cache but once home, we found papers inside with which we were able to contact the owner. Was he ever glad to recover his suitcase that was stolen from him a week earlier and that also contained 9 months of business work. hmmm....not sure I would have called if it had contained a couple of millions.
  23. When I upgrated to 7m I didn't uninstall 6 and it worked perfectly. After upgrating, when you open mapsouce, make sure to select CS7 in the version window beside the icones. All version installed can be viewed in that window
