This little guide may help you, should work the same with your GPS::
Here is a short guide to download a GPX file from a cache page to a Garmin Oregon (450) on a Mac. If doing a PQ, just download the PQ instead of the single cache and follow the same steps.
1.
Go to the cache page required, and click GPX File (highlighted. It should then download and is visible in the Downloads dialog box if using Safari.
2.
Go to Finder, select 'Today' from the left hand panel and find the GPX file. Select it, then press Cmd+C to copy it.
3.
Select your Garmin from the Desktop.
4.
Once the Garmin is open in finder, go Garmin -->GPX --> and then press Cmd+V to copy it.
Eject your Garmin by dragging it to the recycle bin, and now the GPX file should be on your GPS.

You should not post the tracking number anywhere on the website. Instead, go here and click 'Found it? Log it!' in the top right. Then select 'Retreived from' in the drop down menu.

I've done a multi with the first point in the middle of a bridge. You had to count the rows of bolts and then substitute that into the formula for the next coords. Could work if there is something similar there, that you could only know if you visited the spot.

I like the videos, keep it up! They are quality, unlike some stuff on Youtube...

Well, it's been a year since I released my first TB, and it appears it could now be gone. After two months without activity I decided to check on the cache it was in, and this recent log was there:
Clever!!!! Thanks for the awesome cache! Fun! No trackables though. TFTC!Oh well. It hasn't been long, so hopefully it will pop up soon enough. I don't mind it going missing anyway, it has gone further than I ever thought it would, especially for my first TB.

I just got back from a Baltics Cruise and got at least 1 cache in each country - that's six more countries I've cached in

You needn't be worried about transferring PQs onto the unit... I wrote this handy little guide to show how easy it is! And it's mac based!

Normally mine take a few days but I submitted two at 12:37 today and they were published at 13:08 and 13:21, pretty quick. And one has been found already, just 50 minutes after I submitted it!

Mac OS doesn't support GSAK. Here is a short GPX file download guide. The steps should be the same for your GPS.

No problem just remember, once you go Mac...

If I had the choice, then Wherigo. But only if it was well made and thoroughly tested to get rid of bugs.
I suppose people might veer towards a multi however because not everyone has access to a Wherigo player.

There was a thread recently about a guy who went around finding caches and then 'toileting' on them. Disgusting, but thankfully he was banned. Doesn't mean there won't be another to take his place though

On the left go to 'Set Map Preferences' and select leaflet maps.
-
Go to Geocaching.com
Click Play
Find Trackables
Geocoin Home
There should be a map of geocoins around your location.
Hope that helps
Ha, I never knew about that, thanks!

Grey lidded 35mm at the base of a tree under a stick. But only if they have a sodden log with at least a few pieces of mould growing on them.

Very, very nice

This is my default guide for downloading to a Garmin on a Mac. Should work the same for any Garmin, providing it has internal storage/SD card.

Hi there
I had a problem recently with connecting etrex H to my mac, I gave up and bought an etrex 20 which has mini usb connector and the mac wouldnt see it, so I then bought a copy of windows xp so I could dual boot the mac but couldnt get boot camp to work. So I then tried xp in virtualisation through virtual box which worked but still couldnt see the etrex20 so bit the bullet & bought a cheap netbook running windows 7 starter and can now connect gps easily also has the benefit of being able to run gsak.
Total cost for not programming by hand is £385, I did buy everything new so costs could be reduced by buying 2nd hand.
Hope my experiences are of some help.
So I would say once you buy mac ... you only go back once all else fails !!!
Dan
I just installed Windows 7 via bootcamp. Much cheaper

There is a challenge cache near me where you have to get a certain number of caches that have GC codes with words in them.

Just upgraded from version 0.4. The new version has so many more features! And it works fine on my Mac: OSX 10.6.8 with Chrome 18.0.1025.165. Thanks!

Here's how to do it. I use a Mac but the steps are basically identical for a PC.

To follow up to my original post, today a new series of 5 caches was published which are all medium-high terrain/difficulty located in a stream, of which Blackbridge ATM is one of them. They are all close by, so as nobody has found the caches yet it is possible that you saw the CO placing the caches.
I wrote an article on Geocaching

That's a great introduction to caching! The only thing I would say is to think of something other than a McDonalds toy as an example of swag - however the McDs toy is something everyone can relate to, I suppose.
