  1. I see. Well hopefully tomorrow will show. If the map history shows the cross country move then the mileage should update at some point. Thanks for all your help.
  2. BD, the map does in fact show the trip, however I still think the original "grab" instead of retrieval did not list the cache so could that be the problem???? and thanks for the advice about "Hershey Hobo". 2 years seems like I should have figured that one earlier but forgot about him. Probably ended up as a child's toy.......
  3. I did several times this morning, even waiting a bit for maybe the system to digest the changes...... still does not show the original trip, so I will wait a day to see if the "system" needs time to catch up....... then check it.......
  4. Thanks, I did as you explained but the mileage did not update to include that first cross country ride. I believe maybe the original first log still was a "grab" from nowhere....... that log does not list the cache "FORE" as the place taken from. Should that cacher maybe do the same as me, with notes, retrieval and drops back dated????? That seems like it may work. I was just checking on them (TBs) and this one is minor to the other...... but I wanted the travel to be correct. One of the others was placed in an event and never placed thereafter ---- 2 years ago...... thanks for the advice BD and hopefully the correction can be made..............
  5. Does anyone know if you can amend an incorrect placement of a TB? I placed mine in 2008 but must not have paid attention on the "new" cache. Therefore the FTF "grabbed" it and took it to Oregon (from Maryland) but no mileage was calculated for that long trip. Can it be amended so that first and second log will include the cross country miles? See TB1RHCV for details....... thanks for any replies
  6. I have alot of the HDs from the IT labs at work. I have taken them apart and found many different shape magnets depending on the size and age of the HD. One problem is taking them off the metal plate. Most are attached with some sort of adhesive and when "whacking" them with a small blunt tool, the coating "peels" off. Does anyone know of an easier way to get them off the plate without breaking the plated covering?????
  7. How's mine compare ---- My son worked on it today to add to my profile and use as an Avatar.........
