  1. Hi, I'm trying to install a TalkyToaster map onto my GPS. It's downloaded as an IMG file and I've called it gmapsupp.img. I've put it in the Garmin folder, and also tried it in the CustomMaps folder but the GPS doesn't seem to be recognising the map. Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks
  2. No. For all practical purposes you cannot add a map to the e10. Some posted how to replace the near useless basemap with a very small map but it is not something I would recommend. Thanks. Will I be able to add a map such as the one I mentioned to an eTrex 20 (the next model up)?
  3. Hi, Will the Garmin eTrex 10 support maps such as TalkyToaster's maps? Thanks
  4. We've created a website/forums for Cachers in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Don't worry though, you don't actually have to be in Guernsey to use our community The Forums (the best bit!): http://guernseycaching.co.uk/forums/index.php'>http://guernseycaching.co.uk/forums/index.php The Website: http://guernseycaching.co.uk We've only just started and would like some members, so if you could get joining and participate in the community to get it going that would be appreciated! Thank you.
  5. Hello, We're making a stamp for Geocaching using the Geocaching logo as per the guidelines found here: http://www.geocaching.com/about/logousage.aspx Does anybody know if it's allowed if we were to change the colour of the logo image (before the geocaching text)? It's green on that webpage, however they don't include a green one in the logo kit (only a black one). I don't see it saying anything on the PDF guidelines about changing the colour but wanted to check first. Thanks!
  6. Hello, I'm setting up a local caching site like others have done, guernseycaching.co.uk. Is it possible to put a sticker with that website link on all of my geocache's or is that against the rules? I'd still obviously put a link to the official geocaching website as well. Thanks.
  7. Hello Is there an app for Android that will allow me to input a set of co-ordinates and navigate me to them? Thanks
  8. Hi, Is it possible to sign in to Geocaching.com (with user/pass) on a Garmin GPS? Regards
  9. Hi, I have a Garmin Dakota 10 GPS and I live in Guernsey, Channel Islands. When I go on the map, there is only a straight line between where I am and the geocache. There are no road names etc. Is it possible to fix this by downloading a map of Guernsey onto the GPS or similar? Regards
  10. Ahh okay, thats great. Will probably submit later on today. Regards
  11. That helps, thanks. Was hoping to get it submitted and also reviewed today but doesn't look like that will happen
  12. Hi Just wondering how long it usually takes for the GC reviewers to review a new cache? Regards
  13. Thank you! That worked perfectly. It is giving me up to date coordinates and will be using that in the future. Thanks for your help everyone Regards
  14. Will the official app give me the coordinates then
  15. Hi I have found a cache today and one a while ago. I would just like to create my own and if my android smartphone, using the GC app will give me the coordinates of my hidden cache so I can register it on the GC site Regards
  16. Hi I have seen that it says it must contain GPS coordinates. I have also seen that you can use the Android GC app on a gps enabled phone. Would the app give me the accurate coordinates needed? Regards
  17. Hi I am going to start a new geocache but obviously I need the coordinates for the GC website. It will be down a track.
