  1. Being from the UK It seems that litigation is higher on your list of priorities than it is on mine. Safety is very important and over here, judging danger is called "risk assessment". I'll not go into the details but please feel free to check out EHS in the UK. Enjoy your debate but please try to relax, it's only a discussion.
  2. Hi All, As you can see I'm new to geocaching but I do have an opinion. When will people start taking responsibility for their own actions? I look at Groundspeak as being a guide to caching. I know my limits and I am experienced in the areas I search for caches (I didn't realise there were so many in my own regular stomping ground). I've only done a few caches, but some locations I have walked away from as I didn't feel they were safe for my family, not necessarily unsafe or dangerous to other cachers depending on their experience of the particular surroundings. As I said I'm only learning but I can look after myself and my own. Nobody is making me do this!
  3. Hi All, Been a lurker for a short while as we have just started getting into GC. I've not found anything too hostile yet on the forums (you should try the musician ones, some of those guys really are arrogant and full of self importance). The info from the site on starting has been excellent. The spirit of caching is great and all the family are enjoying it. Thanks for your help and advice so far, I think we'll need more. Forgot to add, we're from Lancashire in NW England.
