I am relatively new to Geocaching, and I have just started to place some of my own caches. My favorite caches are ones that take me somewhere I didn't know existed, or places that have a neat view or has a really creative container. I want the caches I place to have the same qualities as the cache-finds that I have enjoyed. Personally, I don't have a problem with Micro-caches. I don't ususally trade items anyway, so I don't mind the smaller containers, and I enjoy the challenge. I have a couple of micro-cache containers that I'd like to place, but I have noticed in the forums that there are quite a few of you that have strong negative feelings towards Micro-caches. If I were to place my micro-caches, what would your recommendations be so that I can successfully place a high quality cache in a small container? Are there any Micro-finds that you enjoyed? Do I need to make it a puzzle cache, or surroud my micro with some other cool container? Thanks for your suggestions!

I see you can purchase just the tracking number for $1.50 each witha 500 minimum order. Does anyone have extra tracking numbers for sale on a smaller scale? Say someone bought the min. 500 and only used 300. Could they sell the remaining 200 to individuals? If so, how would I find somone who would be willing to sell some of their leftover tracking numbers? As you can probably tell, I don't know a whole lot about geocoins. I have looked around a bit and I don't know if this scenario is even possible. If there is already a thread on this, please direct me to the right place.

I have a neighbor that makes custom coins for a living. I was wondering if I had him make me a personal coin, is there any way I could track it on geocaching.com? Or do I have to order it from a certain company to be able to track it on this site? What other creative geocaching things could I do with my custom-coin-making-neighbor's skills? Ideas?

I was so excited when I discovered the Google map feature! I thought it was a GREAT improvement, and made planning a geocaching trip much easier. I just wanted to add another vote for returning the google map feature quickly. I was very disappointed to go back to the mapquest maps after having so much fun with the google maps.
