  1. Way to go, ROJ!! Congrats on the milestone.
  2. Congratulations, Joisey Girl!!
  3. Has it been a year already? Wow! Time really does fly when your having fun! I am down for anything that comes up, I'll keep my eyes on this thread. Kar
  4. Passaic County here if you need me Kar
  5. WooHoo!! Big congrats to an excellent caching family!
  6. I would check the settings on the gps, as this does not sound normal. On my Garmin V, it has a setting to shut down when arriving at my destination, maybe the cobra has a similar setting that you can adjust? edit...I just noticed the original date this was posted... kar
  7. Congrats Squealy! Always fun caching wit'ya Kar
  8. Try going to http://wap.geocaching.com on the zires' web broswer. Nothing fancy, just a simple interface for phones and small browsers. There is an older discussion on wifi enabled phones and browsers here. Hope this helps! edited for better description! Kar
  9. I believe a little creativity goes a long way and parking lot caches are not creative. There are parks and memorials and countless other public places in every town and city that are a lot more suitable for a cache than a parking lot of the local mega mart. I am happy I live in an area that has yet to be dominated by thoughtless micros. Kar
  10. Eeeks!! I didn't mean to open a can of worms, I just wanted to make a suggestion. However, since these two pieces of software can only be utilized if you are a premium member, I can't see how it would hurt to list them both on the page. (with a disclaimer if need be ) odragon, if all you need is to make mps files, you should try EasyMps. Kar
  11. Congrats on the milestone, Mrs. Rusty!!
  12. I was just going over the sites new look and I noticed that on the Geocaching Software page it does not list Cachemate. I do see that most of the links are for freeware/shareware except for GSAK which is a demo until you pay for it. Cachemate has really simplified paperless caching for myself and many others I'm sure. I do realize that cachemate is not free, but neither is GSAK. Both are excellent programs that deserve recogniton on the software page and both compliment a premium membership very well. Any chance it can be added? Kar
  13. This was what I caught a glimpse of the other day when I posted here. So far I like it! Kar
  14. Well...No sense working on this puzzle cache anymore! The incentive is gone!! J/K I highly doubt I would have driven 4 hours even if I could crack the code Kar
  15. Thats just it...we are sitting ducks, an easy target and that is the numero uno reason we are so easily picked on. I think if anything, NYers should demand a town meeting of sorts and overwhelm them. This kind of stuff needs to be voted on and not just passed as a new bill. Afterall, where does the taxpayers decision stand in all this? Well said, I agree 150% Kar
  16. I would file a police report. You never know, they may catch someone with it or it could get turned in to HQ. Without a police report they would never know it belongs to you... I know what it feels like lose a GPS. Although mine was not stolen, I lost it in PA while caching and I live quite a distance away in NJ. An instant downer to say the least. Best of luck getting yours back. Kar
  17. Did you say you would be doing 100+ reviews of tropical hotels?? Any chance you could stuff me into your luggage, I'll supply the laptop, pda, gps AND I'll carry it all wherever you need me too!! edit: I see sputnik beat me to it!! Kar
  18. The easiest way to check back on the topics you posted to would be to start from your profile page, from there you will see an underlined link that says "See the forum posts for this user" Every post you reply to or create will be listed in the order it was made. Hope this helps. Kar
  19. Anyone care to enlarge mine and clean it up a bit and save it as a vector image so I can get a stamp made of it? Kar
