  1. Like the fact that you fessed up to the CO. That makes a major difference and keeps the game fun for everyone. I've learned to keep a cache-repair box in the trunk of my car. I have most everything in there. After reading this, may considering adding magnets to the box.
  2. I stopped at a cache right after the new year. As I was out there looking, a homeowner came out yelling that I was trespassing. Scared me off. Afterwards, when I visited the cache page, the hint said "stay on the main road - grass is private property". From that point forward, I ALWAYS read the hint. There's some valuable stuff hidden there!
  3. I have quite a few out there.... Some lost... Some traveling... Although I tend to get attached to things, I came to the realization early on that I was basically throwing away money every time I send one out. So, when I DO get an email update, I'm pleasantly surprised! I seems like the more boring ones go the farthest.... I'm attending the Midwest Geobash in July and am sending out four different color travel bugs attached to rubber duckies. I figure I have about a 1 in 4 chance any of them will survive into the Fall.
  4. Hi ! I'm a HUGE fan of your Titanic coins. Do you have a photo showing the difference between Satin Silver and Antique Silver?
  5. I've been doing this for years. If you log a pickup, drop or even a note, I think you just follow the Visit Log link where you can upload photos on your activities. Lovely pictures! I know you can upload later but that only works if you spend time on a traditional computer. I do most of my logging on my iPhone and iPad.... so, unless it's a special scenario, very rarely do I upload pics from the computer
  6. I always have a camera. First, to snap pictures in dark places to make sure I'm not about to reach in and touch a squirrel's nest, a snake, etc. I also snap pics at almost every GZ. My iPhone makes it easy to upload to my logs. I was just told that a local group of cachers used my photos from a series of caches in a local park. They presented them at a city council meeting trying to convince them the experiment of locating caches in one park is a success. As a result, caches are now approved for all local parks. It was weid showing up to a meet-and-greet to hear everyone say, "It's her!" They had just heard the verdict! I also photograph all the trackables that pass through my hands. I have submitted a suggestion to Groundspeak that they add the capability to attach photos to trackables logs like we do to cache logs. I mean... If you can attach a photo to a cache then why not a trackable?!? I think that would greatly increase the numbers of pictures.
  7. That is SO cool! I didn't know there was one on the ISS!
  8. I'm sorry - I'm rather new. I've read a few forum posts lately that mentions Jeeps. What is it about?
  9. I watch trackables. I'm very protective of the TBs I move for others so I always watch to see if someone picks it up or not. you know... Did I make a good cache selection? Has it gone missing (especially geocoins), etc. Weird as there is nothing I can do about it.
  10. I submitted a request on one of the forum threads to add the ability to attach photos via the iPhone app. Hey, if you can attach a photo to a cache log, then why not a trackables log!?
  11. I love Waymarking - I always upload a pic and try to make my visit log interesting. I don't mind the "no pic" on my waymarks as long as they make an effort on the log, but one person in my area is really annoying me. One of his logs stated "passed within a mile of this site." This is a typical example of a log from this person. It was too late for me to delete it, and I've been warned not to "cross" this person by emailing him.
  12. Can I add one? Add the capability to attach photos when logging trackables. Many people ask for photos with their TB's but I tend not to take them/upload them because I do almost all my logging on my iPhone.
  13. Hmmm... I have my name on my Start up screen (but it's not very noticeable). Like the idea of stickering my alias.. I don't normally carry it in a case but maybe sticker it in the battery compartment? Hadn't thought of that!
  14. Wow! That's pretty amazing! What a great coincidence! Wish you had posted a pic of the TB.... Curious after the previous cacher made a reference to size.
  15. Looks like I have the first one for Michigan! The Dexter GeoTrail kicked off April 1st 2012. If you complete the cache series (7 local parks all within walking distance) you will earn a Dexter GeoTrail path tag. http://coord.info/GC3F96C for the first stop
  16. I'm sure I "missed the boat", but do you have any of either version left? Yes I have some of version 2 left for sale. They have been going fast this last week or so tho. Thanks for your order. ......and welcome aboard! Thank you! Excited to see they "shipped" so quickly. Showed my sister and she said she ordered from you today also. Happy caching!
  17. I'm sure I "missed the boat", but do you have any of either version left?
  18. Hi, I'm relatively new to caching and recently attended my first event. The other cachers were talking about completing their first "Busy Day". I tried to ask what that was, but the room we were in was too loud to hear. What is a "Busy Day"? I've been searching the forum but don't see my answer. I apologize if I missed it.
