  1. When your Earth Science teacher asks if anyone know the latitude and longitude of New York City, ( for extra credit on following test ) or something near that, you tell her the exact location of the school. No one belives you, not even the teacher. Next day you get 15 points on added to your test grade because you were right.(love that Garmin Etrex Venture ). And my mother wonders why I spend so much time with it... ps. love the thread

  3. Take one or two. Everyone burns CDs these days, legal or not, whether you want to admit it or not. The person who left the CDs in the cache probably wants someone to take them, CD-ROMs don't like enclosed spaces Also, it costs almost nothing in cash value to burn one. React: Be Happy. Good Expensive software for free. For you. I'd do it too in one of the caches I made, but I'm afraid Jeremy will freak if he finds out. Meanwhile, don't worry about it. Someone wanted to make a a good cache and to make you happy. Do them a favor and be happy.

See there is a thing thought, I'M YOUNG YOUNG YOUNG YOUNG YOUNG! Ahh ! Scary! 14 ! Still, anyone from around here? I'm curious! Thanks for your time reading.
  6. I go here every summer, it is great! The trails are amazing here, from easy to impossible. There are mountain biking trails, a great place for fishing and boating, I believe its in a little town not to far away, 20 mins by car, Tannersville. Now to get to Hunter Mountain, the adress is as: Rt.23A, Hunter, NY. NYS Thruway, Exit 20 and 21. huntermtn.com. I got this stuff from a card I have, also there is a telephone number, donno what for, but here it is, 518- 263-4223, I don't think the mountain has a phone # Happy Hiking and Geocaching!

  10. It isn't nice to bury caches tho, unless its like that water supply someone mentioned. Thats a good thing. But overall, I'm really not thrilled by the idea of messing up the landscape and digging around everywhere for a cache. Is anyone?

  12. I'v heard of people looting caches and things like that, taking thing from them and not putting anything back, although this is quite ridiculous, maybe someone thought the Chevy itself was a cache and " plundered and looted" it. ...um...on the other hand. Maybe not... The Cache probably did not exist at all in the first place, probably was planned but never put into action for some reason.

  16. Hello Everyone! I'm new to Geocaching and I have some questions, old stuff thats probably somewhere on the Forums, but I am going to ask it anyway, so forgive me for that. 1. I just got a Garmin Etrex Venture, and I'm wondering if there the Garmin Map CD " Points Of Interest" will help me with Geocaching in any way... 2. I'm unsure about this, I live in Brooklyn, NY, and I want to make a Geocache somewhere around here, one that I can monitor on almost a weekly basis, but I am wondering if its worth putting a cache in a park, or something. I mean, its not a hard place to find, and not that scenic, that means it isnt worthwhile right? Can anyone please give me some tips or ideas on where to put caches, and how to not dissapoint people, etc. Stuff on this topic. Thanks A Lot,
