A clever cache creator will create the cache in such a way that the user must pass back by stages to replace contents on their caching hunt. At least, that's how I did it. Not had a problem so far...

I enjoy caching, I really enjoy placing my own caches but it has been made to be impossible for me being on the reviewer blacklist, and someone who takes exception to my videos has been stealing or damaging every single one of my caches. So yes, I might be excused for feeling a little sour. I wont, the moderation team might be excused of making the odd mistake, especially when they're buried in frivolous reports on every single one of my posts apparently .

Oh hi again Sandy, My 7 day ban was lifted and my posts re-instated after Moun10bike received my complaint. This has already been explained to me by him, therefore one might excuse my prior indignation when my posts are being moderated without proper cause.

Actually no, it was also a genuine question. I need to clone myself, I place caches that I myself would enjoy finding....But I've yet to find any caches like my own Why can't you see the video? Briefly: Stage 1) you find a bottle with co-ordinates Stage 2) You find a stream and a pipe....fill the pipe with water and you find a plug with co-ordinates Stage 3) Use the plug to block a hole, then fill another pipe to retrieve a magnet with co-ordinates Stage 4) Use the magnet to move something along plumbing pipe...once revealed it's....a key with co-ordinates. Stage 5) Use the key to open a container to reveal further co-ordinates Stage 6) Final. Which is similar to along a similar "tool/co-ordinates" theme. But I've never seen anything even close to this, perhaps I'm on my own in this...

Why does it seem to me that most multi's are question and answer local knowledge 10 mile hike flavour caches....? I'd love to see more caches like this: with a puzzle to solve at each stage.... Wonder if I can go for a hat-trick on closed threads today....

Well the CO submitted the video to me, but for the sake of argument let's pretend he didn't for a moment. It's "waaaaay in the wrong". Why? So anyone watching would know where, what why and when. Then as I say, those persons watching the video have only spoilt it for themselves. The channel is clearly labelled as spoilers so nobody can complain they've spoilt it for themselves. You cannot find the videos from the cache page. You cannot find the cache page from the videos. I keep saying quite clearly, if you don't like it then don't look at it. I can't work out if you're really that stupid or just a very bad troll. I'm simply not going to entertain ridiculous statements like this. You cannot use my videos to cheat, if you'd watch them objectively you'd realise this. I understand you might not want to watch them and I appreciate the reasons why that may be. But this doesn't mean you can simply guess the content of them and accuse me of absurd things.

Wat? Actually I heard about geocaching from youtube....I'd watched several hundred geocaching videos. A quick google search offers over 6 million results for "geocaching video", what I'm doing is nothing new. And I've never once said "screw you" to anyone, infact I've tried to bend my content to please as many folks as possible. It's not against etiquette just because you say it is. From the feedback I receive the vast majority of the community welcome such videos. Course you're never going to please all the people all the time. And looking at the demographics on my youtube stats the majority of my "supporters" are from America, then Germany, followed by Canada, then UK and then Australia before the bulk of Europe hits the stat chart.

Is it really that hard to understand? I don't show where the caches are. I now have 130+ videos, none show the GC code* or any hint of geographical location. Now that I receive regular "viewer submitted videos" the caches featured cover geocaches placed on a fair few of the continents of the planet. I would suggest LyssLyss that as you may see from this thread that some people just don't understand, or don't want to understand, or are simply trolls. I've been involved in plenty of online communities relating to many hobbies, games, sports etc and never before have I come across such daft politics as in the geocaching community. Infact, that might have to be the topic of an upcoming video because it baffles me. It's-a-game! The channel has now entertained just shy of a million views total. Well over 5,000 subscribers which is a few short of surpassing the official Groundspeak geocaching channel! Many people love the channel, a handful do not. Might I suggest those that don't like it don't look at it. *Ok there is that one cache that someone will no doubt bring up, the owner is happy with this "spoiler" being live showthing the gc code - but I am not. When I'm next passing I'll video the container again so you trolls have less daft ammunition.

Ok I concede. Some people are allegedly upset with videos like mine. I really enjoy making them and sharing them, with 30+ subscribers a day and 6,000 views per day in two months: a lot of people clearly enjoy watching them. I was trying to meet in the middle, keep everyone happy. Seems nobody wants a productive conversation in this thread so sure mods go ahead and lock it.

Getting back on topic: I've stated previously there is a facility on youtube to block the UK audience from my channel. Nobody in the UK could then view any of the videos therefore nothing to get spoilt to anyone within 500 miles of the caches* - this, coupled with getting permission. Perfect solution? -nothing is revealed in the video to say where the cache is anyway so nobody could find it. -even if they do find it they're 500 miles away. -anyone finding the video is looking for that kind of thing, more fool them. -got permission from the cache owner anyway Thoughts? *(based on me being in the East Midlands a very ROUGH figure before anyone gets out a calculator)
