  1. This reads like some of the SPAM that I see in my inbox! If it looks like Spam and it smells like Spam...guess what? This domain name was just registered on October 7, 2005. It's amazing how he "found" it so quickly And..."You can even buy geocaching stuff on it! "...what a shock! Why aren't these guys up front about it? They could just say they created a website instead of pretending that they stumbled across this "awesome site".
  2. You can enter the coordinates right into CitySelect. Click: Edit...New Waypoint Then enter the coordinates.
  3. According to MapSource City Select, the coordinates are: N32 41.350 W97 07.790
  4. Roland, I just got my Legend C yesterday. I'm planning on getting City Select. Did you get Ver. 6 or Ver. 7 at Best Buy? Anton
  5. It looks like a toy I had as a kid. It's just a thin curved metal disc (shaped like a contact lense). You warm it up with your fingers and press it "inside out", then set it down. Once it cools, the metal contracts and snaps back to it's original shape making it pop off the table.
  6. OK...I''ve decided on the Legend C, but I just noticed how small the screen is...1.3" x 1.7". This seems pretty small to me. Is it big enough to really see and read easily. I like the fact that the unit itself is small and easy to carry but that screen seems so tiny. Does anyone using this unit have a problem with the screen size, or isn't it an issue? Anton
  7. Funny you should bring that up...I was just comparing the Legend C and the Vista C and saw that there was very little difference. I've decided to go with a color screen so that eliminates the GPS V. The Legend and the Vista both come with "Americas Recreational Basemap" and MapSource Trip & Waypoint manager". What other software do I need?
  8. Ok...now I think I'm down to The GPS V ($240) or the Vista C ($280). What's the difference in the various software that comes with them. Does a color screen make a big difference? Has anyone seen prices better than this? I've only looked at gpsonsale.com and ebay. Anywhere else I can go to find the best price? Thanks, Anton
  9. Where did you see it for $200? I found it for $240. Anton
  10. I do take long road trips every once in a while. I haven't done any geocaching yet but hope to soon, and not just locally. Anton
  11. Hi Everyone, I'm brand new here...been reading the forum and website for a few days. I'm ready to take the plunge and buy a GPSr. I read the thread below from Todd&Sarah and did some looking around. I've narrowed it down to 4 Garmin units. I don't want to spend a huge amount of $$$, but want a unit that will work well for geocaching as well as in the car. Here are my 4 choices...please feel free to comment, suggest, criticize, etc. Etrex Legend Etrex Legend C GPSMAP 60 GPS V Thanks for your assistance, Anton
