  3. I have a Palm Vx with a Magellan GPS companion. The Palm is loaded with Cetus software and Plucker...all the tools necessary for geocaching. I have used this for caching and have had great success. For Christmas I upgraded to a better system (although it is 2 parts so really is it better?) so I have this to sell. I want to sell either as one system or I am willing to sell it as separates. Included is a hotsync cradle with charger. I will also provide a CD with all the instructions how to get geopoints onto the cetus software and also the software required. I priced the components on Amazon.com and together they are $80. So that is what I will charge...free shipping!! If you want just the palm $30 If you want just the companion $50. I'll also include a LED light that clips on for "night" caching. please e-mail me with any inquiries. candie025@yahoo.com Thanks and Happy Caching, The Navigator 25

  5. Recently I have been caching with this very device you are talking about. I had to download cetus becuase the magnav software was too cumbersome to use and wasn't working the way I would have liked. Also since the palm has no back light I bought a cheap clip on LED light from target (like 10$) which works well for both navigational and searching purposes. The only downfall with cetus is that it gives a "tru" north reading without option for magnetic so anything requireing magnetic readings you need a real compass. It is limited in its features but I have found it fairly accurate (no worse than others) once I got the hang of it. (Like it doesn't search for closest like a garmin would etc) The file conversions using gps babel are also quite easy. What I usually do is get my query from Groundspeak merge them all together (the authors of gpsbabel explain how to do this) then send them to plucker where it converts the file and outputs an "easy-gps" file. I use that in GPS babel and walla I have a no limit search for waypoints in my palm. It is quite nice actually that there is no waypoint limits. For simple urban geocaching and even light trail geocaching it is great. Hope that was input enough for you the nav 25
  6. Were you ever able to sell it? I'm interested if it is still for sale.
