  1. I have just renewed my premium membership. I've received a confirmation email from Groudspeak but my profile still shows as renewal date 24 September 2013. How long should this take to change? In previous years it has been instantaneous.
  2. Oops, clicked on something I shouldn't have!!! It must be something inconsistent. Try the link on GC31TB0
  3. Can't confirm that, here's what I see: (and the link actually works too)
  4. I've just spotted something else not quite right. Do you remember a while back where an update caused the links for trackables to fail? It seeme to be back again. The "View past trackables" link is only a link if there are actually trackables logged into the cache.
  5. Its been OK, then slow, then OK, then extremely slow for the over 2 hours now. I've had various error messages including "sever down", "server not responding", and the usual browser "page cannot be displayed" message. It has taken me 2 hours and 10 minutes to log 12 finds and 2 DNFs.
  6. I've been getting the same error message since the last site upgrade. Has anyone else noticed that the field where the file name goes when you browse to the photo is greyed out? It looks as if for some reason, planned or not, the feature isn't available. I don't think it has anything to do with the filesize at all as the box is greyed out before you select the file you want to upload.
  7. I've noticed this too. The link works if there are coins or TBs logged into the cache. It doesn't work (ie no link) when there are no TBs logged in. I am a TB which I log in and out of caches I have found, and I noticed that the link changes to text only when I grab myself back from a cache containing no other travellers.
  8. Ah well, my log for 10 past midnight (UK time) will have to be updated in the morning. Just watched some great fireworks (and lots of Chinese lanterns) from the top of a hill, very cold, but a great way to start a new caching year!
  9. I'm sure the icons were there the last time I did an earthcache. I'm pretty sure I haven't upgraded the GPSr software since then. But what I have done over the last month is start to download some caches direct from the site to my GPSr. Perhps the setup it runs first has actually downgraded the software? Oops, I just realised that in the topic name I said Colorado, its an Oregon!!!!!
  10. I am not sure when this first appeared but earthcaches have appeared with the traditional icon for sometime all the others seem ok. A-ha - that may be the answer. There aren't too many earthcaches around so I probably wouldn't have noticed before today, but I was specifically aiming for some and couldn't find them. In fact I condsidered going for yours this afternoon but I couldn't spot that one on the map either!
  11. After some messing about with PQs this evening I have discovered that it is only earthcaches which have the wrong icon. Very strange!
  12. Its any type of caches. Its the same one I run regularly. The earthcaches were in the results, as were the multis, etc. But they all show up as traditionals. The only difference is that I switched on the new option that has appeared in the last few days. I have an Oregon, so I copy tham straight to the GPSr, no other programs used. My question is whether the new option has corrupted the query. I've been running the same query for 4 years with no problems until now.
  13. Help please! A couple of days ago I changed my usual PQ to include the query name in the file. I ran the query, loaded it, and set off this morning. When I looked at my GPSr all the caches were showing as traditionals, which was very frustrating as I couldn't easily spot the earthcaches! I have now switched the name option off, and rerun the query. I get the same thing. I have run another PQ without changing it in any way, and that one is fine, I can see all the different icon types on the GPSr. Has the "renaming" of the file corrupted the PQ for ever? Do I need to recreate it from scratch?
  14. I've cached in England, Wales and Scotland. Never been to Northern Ireland though. I know it would be expensive to get there, and camping would mean a rough ferry crossing, but a nice idea???
  15. I'm adding my thanks as well. I had a great weekend, and I was tired and sunburnt too... Ah yes, travelling time. I had forgotten how long it took me to get from Staffordshire to Perth last year. Maybe I will need to book an extra day off work next year for travelling back and sleeping!
  16. I often cache with Yorkypudding and Ageinghippy. Sometimes we all sign the logbook, sometimes I will sign for them, or they will sign for me. But I was always there when the cache was found. There have been occasions when I have been caching with other teams and we have DNFed a cache, and the others have subsequently found the cache on a later visit. If they told me they had signed my name in the logbook, I never logged online. If I'm not there I don't get the smilie. How others play the game is up to them. I used to get wound up by teams who cache in two groups in different areas on the same day, but then I realised that getting annoyed just spoilt my caching experience. Are they doing it for the numbers? Probably. Do I care? Not any more. Life is too short.
  17. In my case I decided last year to beat my previous best "consecutive days", and managed to do it before finally giving in to that awful winter flu bug in November which took me weeks to get over. After a long break I started to cache again, and now making an effort to cache with a group is much more satisfying. I'm enjoying caching now, and I don't need my twice-weekly fix.
  18. I'm quite intrigued as to how you know that - given that you seem to have only started in March this year? Or perhaps you are a long standing team member and now have your own user name? Is that the date of joining the forum? Ah, yes, I see what you mean!
  19. Someone in California has over 32,400 finds.
  20. I don't seem to be getting any notification emails through, either owner emails, or for anything on my watchlist. I remember a similar problem a while ago that took a couple of weeks to be resolved IIRC. Is this a general problem? I have received a couple of emails sent to me via my profile. My ISP is Orange.
  21. It's back! It's back! OK, so it's slow as it probably has some catching up to do, but hey, at least I can see a few red dots for some of my Scottish finds from last week now. Thank you to the admin guys, whichever combination of you it is (Ian?) - much appreciated!
  22. Congratulations to SuebyDoo on reaching her 100th cache this weekend.
  23. Big congratulations to mundy family on reaching their 100th cache Living on an island with only 70-something caches, they had to travel to the mainland this weekend just to reach their milestone - now that's dedication!
