  1. Geez, am I ever sorry to hear this!!! I just today sent you an e-mail asking how I could help out with the magazine, Jerry!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! What about the idea stated above, where you make the magazine a quarterly issue? I belong to an organization that had a bi-montly newsletter, but it was never on time and always struggled for material. Once we went quarterly, everything ran a lot smoother! I hate to see it go and would love to help brainstorm for an alternative solution.
  2. We really enjoyed this one. Read the logs on it, as I think I almost wrote a book! LOL! There is a part two also that has a real good story with it. I plan on finding it soon. Okie Pinokie, If You Dare!
  3. OOPS! Now how did I double post that?!!? Weird. I guess that just shows how strongly I feel about this pack! LOL! Sorry about that!
  4. I bought my MountainSmith Approach 2 after reading Briansnat's review and getting some input from him. I have had it about a year and could not be happier!!! This is an awesome pack for day hikes or even an overnight trip. I STRONGLY suggest the Approach pack.

  6. Congratulations to Random Find for getting their 300th cache find before the end of the year. Funny thing is, we (TEAM RETRIEVER) found our 200th find the same day and it just happened to be at the same cache. Somehow we must have just missed them. LOL! Check it out..... TrickEnd
  7. Happy New Year to all of you! Happy caching in 2007!
  8. From our team headquarters to yours....Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!! Team Retriever
  9. My wife and I are 36. Our three daughters are 16, 12 and 8. Then our beloved pup is 1.
  10. If you can't find homes, that might be your best bet. Too bad the animal liberation front or whatever is seriously misguided in their views on hunting and fishing.....
  11. If nothing else, contact your local reviewer and ask or re-submit it. Good luck!
  12. One way to find out for sure is to create that committee of geocachers that I spoke of and ASK them! I see a lot of speculation on this topic. The people of ACRES might just be more open minded than ya think. But you won't know unless you try. If the voice is loud enough, they won't have a choice but to listen. Thanks for your input on all of this Herd. I'm listening! Team Retriever, I agree with what you are saying...but should add...I think the key to contacting ACRES is to do so in a calm, thoughtout manner. I think they would probably listen A LOT better if they were approached by someone/s with a calm demeanor who is prepared in what they want to say. EXACTLY, Herd!!! That is my entire point!!!! I don't mean that we should form a lynch mob and light up the torches! LOL! A group of well spoken individuals should approach them after formulating a proposal.

  14. I'll just throw in my two cents worth... Instead of getting so upset about the policy and such, may I suggest that a group of Indiana cachers do the following... 1) Form a committee to speak on the behalf of Indiana geocachers immediately. A good starting point would be to have representatives from the various geocaching organizations in this state. Or start in the Indiana forums and see who would be interested. I think "The Herd" would be most valuable on this "committee", considering their knowledge of both parties. Be sure whoever is going to speak on our (geocachers) behalf is a good speaker when in front of people and presents themself in a professional manner. Sorry, but I think Patrick would just lick himself or something. LOL! 2) The committee should meet, more than once if necessary, and form an alternative solution that is acceptable to both ACRES and geocachers. 3) Present this solution to ACRES. Both parties should keep an open mind and listen to each other. Just some ideas (smile).
  15. Hunt, fish, camp, sit here and read the geocaching forums....
  16. Geeeeeeez, I'm SO glad I read this thread!!! I just happen to be going to the Indy gun show this weekend and never even thought about picking up some ammo cans there! LOL! DUH! And to think, I was going to actually shop for a shotgun!!!!
  17. Don't think I wasn't concerned about that! I'm sure I was digging in more than just mud. I love horses, but man do they ever tear up the trails! Torry, I'm surprised you didn't make any mention of that mud hole looking like a pig wallow. If you want the coordinates, I'll see what I can do. LOL!
  18. Sure glad I don't fit that category!!! You can't tell in this picture, but I sunk in up to my knees in mud. Had to literally dig with my hands to get my feet out! Stupid horse trails....
  19. Somebody needs to buy this from TEAM BULLDOZER before I get tempted and have to live in the doghouse for another month!!! See ya at work, buddy!!!!
  20. Congratulations! We hit 100 last month. It's all down hill from here! LOL!
  21. MAGS RULE!!! LONG LIVE GARMIN!!!!!!!!
  22. If you camp at Salamonie Reservoir (in between Huntington and Wabash, Indiana) you are within easy driving distance to 3 DNR properties (Roush Lake, Mississinewa and Salamonie), each with many wonderful caches.
  23. Just wanted to welcome TEAM BULLDOZER to the world of geocaching. A buddy from work had heard enough of my rambling about caching and checked into it. Thus TEAM BULLDOZER was born! He ordered a GPS on Ebay, but him and his boys went out and found a cache yesterday, before his GPS has arrived! Not only did they find their first cache without a GPS, but they claimed FTF on it!!!!! LOL!
  24. Just wanted to take a minute and toot our own horn. LOL! We found cache number 100 yesterday. The main reason for this post is I want to thank local cachers, SIXDOGTEAM and Trickworm, for their help since we began and for placing so many caches in our area. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!! Our 100th cache was Patrick's CoC-RoW #35: Huntington THANKS FOR THE CACHE LITTLE WHITE DOGGY!!!!
