  6. What happens if the geocache in question is listed on more than one cache listing service? I'm all about GC.com, but I am aware that there are caches that are crossed listed. So I would say no unless permission was granted from the cache owner. If for what ever reason there is no response from the GC.com user it could be archived, but removed...that might not be a good idea. I use to hunt/remove archived caches until a pal of mine in WA told me it was not such a good idea anymore because of cross listings. The thought never crossed my mind becasue I only use GC.com. When I thought about it he made a good point. just my little 2 cents Pepper

  16. HELP! Ok smart computer people out there I'm haveing major issures...here is the problem. Lost my 3850 iPaq while at GW4 I orderded another one off of eBay I got it yesterday and I can not get it to sync with my laptop. So here is what i've done so far...identified the OS on the iPaq as Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 (v. 4.20.1081). Now i'm trying to load active sync 3.8 (husband told me this is the one I needed) onto my laptop. I keep getting this error message: Setup could not copy the file C:\document and setting\pepper\local\settings\TEMP\IXP000.TMP\core\inf\wceusbsh.cat'(copy error -1) Restart computer and run setup again. Now what does that mean. I really really need to get in sync so I can go out and play again...HELP! Please? Pepper
  17. I now I'm missing something. Why does everything have to turn into a game? Why couldn't it be a straight "I met this person" type of thing? I agree with JDandDD, from the way I'm reading it developing, it's going to get divisive. I can picture the events or meetings on the trail. "Hey, how ya do'n." "Hi ya!" ... "So, you got a code?" "Sure, but you gotta stand on your head." "?" "Stand on your head or you don't get my code." "No thanks." "What, I'm not good enough for you to stand on your head?" "Obviously." "&%$@ you." "&%$@ you back." ... Seriously CR do you really think cachers that meet on the trail would ask such a thing. I have meet plenty of cachers while out and about caching and I always had a positive experience. I saw it posted (not in these exact words) that if one does not participate in these forums they won't be heard and only the regulars are the ones that TPTB be hear. (Something like that). I’m going venture out into these forums and try to start being heard. (Very scary) I’m a regular cacher and I think the concept is awesome and I look forward to the day it’s implemented. When we are events it would be a great way to break away from the regulars you know and meet up with someone you have never meet. Great icebreaker indeed, although I’ve really never had a problem meeting and talking to folks this would be fun, love it the ever evolving GC.com working hard for us, the cachers. Pepper Happy Cacher! See ya on the trail.
  18. I would like to think that the "mountain" mentioned in Jeremy's posting was metaphorical... Just my two cents. Now go climb your mountain and geocache. You know HHD1 I think your right! Pepper
  19. Don't even be depressed silly...any thrill from any hunt or your journey there is a good day no matter what the terrain! I use to hate the switchback part of my journey, now I hate skeeter, chigger, snake and spider part of my noswitchback journey! Guess it all depends on the region where you cache. Lord knows there are no mountains any where near the gulf coast where I cache now. Cache on. Pepper
  20. You're not a geocacher unless ... you’ve traversed a mountain, (stupid switchbacks) had a cherry seed spittin’ contest with your hiking pal while having breath taking views of Mt. Rainer as a back drop. Geocache GCD well that's just the short of it.... Pepper
  21. I was trying to get them before GW4...well I got um yesterday and I am tickled pink with them. hmmm...#007 now who is that chick that likes number 7...oh yeah I remember AG. Pepper edit...the scan didn't turn out to good : (
  22. bummer Billy I was at GW4 seven days and not once did I see you another time I hope maybe just maybe I'll be able to trade for one of those cool puzzle coins? Pepper We were at the park both Friday evening and on Saturday. We sat with Tess under the big white tent for most of the time we were there. We did leave before the dinner activities however due to a whole bunch of caches calling our name! I absolutly understand...I sure hope y'all had a nice time... Pepper
  23. Well I finally got something to say. I had the time of my life this summer that is at GW4. It was huge like TX and I hope all the out-of-towners felt a warm welcome. I did try to say hi to as many folks as possible. Saw lots and lots of people I've only communicated with via the forums, there caches, or emails for the past 4 four years. Caught up with pals from WA to CA to TN to FL how cool it that? Friends (most important part of this game for me), caching, camping, eating BBQ, swapping coins, trading stories and tons of laughs, it just don’t get any better than that, can we do it again? Please… TGA I thank you for your efforts they paid off big! GC.com I support ya 100% and always will thanks for the support on this one and the next one and the next one… Gosh I had fun… I won’t mention the unmentionable chiggers. Pepper edit...oops sorry...Hea Doc I got your pod and soon as it stops raining i've already got a spot picked out for it special for you! oops again...hea fishingfools thanks for starting a positive topic...how nice for a change!
