  1. I've wanted that feature since I bought the app over two years ago. It gets tedious when you have a lot that you want to visit a cache.
  2. I'd like to see something about trackables on the homepage.
  3. Just a quibble... Geocaching Challenges were not grandfathered. They were completely removed from the site. They're gone regardless. Just trying to say this sounded like the challenges.
  4. Sounds a little like the grandfathered challenges to me.
  5. Anyone have a gc code for it?
  6. I'm looking for someone in the sacramento area to go out caching with. I really don't have a reliable means of transportation anymore and I can't cache like I want to. If anyone is interested please post below.
  7. The thing that bugs me about people watch listing my caches is that they normally do it right when it gets published, like, why watchlist instead of going out and trying to find it? My most recent cache especially. I spent a lot of time on it and meant for it to be a somewhat difficult find but after the first two people found and actually put favorite points on it. But after that all I noticed was that people watchlisted it instead of going out and trying to find it. It's been that way for almost a month now. I guess I just want cachers to look for it and if they are and don't find it they should post a DNF but that's another topic. Just search for it people! Otherwise it's just like watching paint dry!
  8. Thanks! That helps. I plan on attaching one to a tree near one of my caches for people to discover. It didn't say anything about that at all.
  9. I'm not sure if there is already a topic about this, but I was wondering, what isn't acceptable to put on a travel bug other than the usual stuff you're not supposed to put in a cache or something you can't put in a cache like a building or a tree for people to only discover.
  10. This is something I've wanted since I started caching. Great idea! They should definitely implement this feature to the site.
  11. I have a puzzle cache that I did something similar for except I used the numbers on a phone keypad and the number of times to press that number to get the letter, like text messaging, but the whole cache page is written out in that manner ie: Hello cachers! 4(2)3(2)5(3)5(3)6(3) 2(3)2(1)2(3)4(2)3(2)7(3)8(4)! The cacher first has to figure out the coding and then they have to decipher the message to get to the cache.
  12. Thank you all! To answer a few questions, I have an earthcache actually, I even got it published on the first try I just wanted a virtual to add to my list of hidden caches. I have considered Waymarking, although it just doesn't have the appeal to me that the geocaching site has. Though I know another geocacher in my area who has a list of virtuals that were adopted, I think within the last couple years but don't quote me on that. I saw that he had done so, so I got excited and started searching for a cacher that was willing to transfer ownership but it looks like my dreams are ruined.
  13. That's crazy because I've seen virtuals that were pretty recently adopted but nevermind I guess.
  14. Hi all, I'm looking for a virtual cache to adopt. If anyone would be willing to transfer their virtual cache that they no longer want Just email me. I would absolutely love to maintain one as we can no longer place them. I'm looking forward to your replies!
  15. I agree wholeheartedly; it sure would make things easier You should read the other post above.
  16. Same thing going on with me. I pay to play this game, which irritates me because I could be missing out on FTF's which was my biggest reason for getting a premium membership. I havent recieved a single email from the geocaching website since 4:30 this morning. I hope it gets fixed soon.
  17. I'm lookIn for a cacher in my area that is willing to be the first cacher to hold and place my travel bug http://coord.info/TB4GGEW it is a converse high top shoe and the right one to be exact. If you're willing check it out and email me via my profile on geocaching.com. My username is Rapaladude.
  18. I found something similar except it wasn't a computer. I was on my way to a micro actually and I was searching and found something wrapped up in plastic store bags. It had a pistol grip and that was about all I could make out. So curiosity got the best of me and I ripped it open to find a Stanley brand spot light. I kept it > probably the best "swag" I've ever picked up.
  19. Oh ok gotcha. I actually wanted to send one to Germany myself but the odds of it gettin there are slim. I want to at least have one vist all the major cities here in California.
  20. I'll have to agree with you on that and I have read the forum you suggested. I guess the risk is sort of what makes the game so fun.
  21. I've noticed quite a lot of trackables going missing in the citrus heights, Roseville, orangevale area. Most I've looked at have unfortunately.. I think if you are going to take a trackable at all you should know how to log it. That is if people aren't just stealing them. But I think there should be a trackable awareness idea going around, because these things are meant to go from Place to place not to be stolen. It honestly sort of deters me from getting a bbug or geocoin at all..
