  1. Is there a way that anyone knows to run the rope or line down the tree?
  2. Does anyone know where I could get one of those tree stub containers? I looked on ebay but can't find anything. Also, Where was the section in this thread that said how to make the fake log? Thanks Natureboy56
  3. Only if we could find the perfect hollow tree to do that. I really want to keep to the idea of the tree that we found.
  4. That is also an excellent idea. We would use wire to attach the pullie to the tree, which I hope would do no harm. Is there anything that complex you can do with one tree because we have found and excellent tree to set up a pullie on.
  5. Thanks, We want Duke to go hiking and caching with us. Yes, by the looks of that dog, I'm sure Duke will make a perfect geodog.
  6. We have bichon Frise. A very small dog, but he has encredible endurance. He has come geocaching with us on over 30 percent of all our finds. Making your dog a geodog may depend on his temperment and strength.
  7. That would work also. Is there anything that might be just a bit more complex? I don't want a system of pullies, just one that would require you to do multiple task to get the container down.
  8. We haven't, but our neighbor, also a geocacher, has. He just told him what he actually was doing. The police officer approved and drove away.
  9. We have found a tree and it is fairly easy to climb. The only thing about using fishing line is that it might get cought in the side of the pullie. That is a good idea so we will keep that in mind. Any other ideas? We were thinking of running a thin green rope down the side of the tree and then at the bottom, tie it is a couple knots so the cacher would have to undoe the knots, but then again, that wouldn't be much of a challenge
  10. We got a Garmin GPSmap 60C from mom. It really is an amazing unit!
  11. We have been thinking about placing a cache that has something to do with a pully for a long time. we just can't figure out how we could set it up so it would be somewhat difficult. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreiciated. Natureboy56
  12. Are you sure they would delete them?
  13. What is the best program for geocaching? I mean, for your computer. One that shows you all of the geocaches and their actual names. And maps of the area. For some reason I can't seem to find one!! Thanks Natureboy56
  14. Virtual Travel Bugs. Are there any still in action? If so could you post a link. And... What is a Virtual travel bug?
  15. Ok, that is a good idea. I think i will do that, but I will wait to see about the TB
  16. My cache, walkn' and wheeln'. Has been discovered by some kids. They have taken mostly everything out of it including a TB. I rehide it, within 5 feet of theat area, but more cleverly. Is there anything else I can do? Natureboy56
  17. DIDN'T FIND now i DON"T SLEEP
  18. Over 76,000 miles...if you are counting personal TBs that travel with the owner. 510,447 mi Worldtraveler HOly cow! And you only have 4 hundred sumtin geocaches!
  19. What is the farthest distance you've seen a TB travel? I've seen one go 20,000miles but thats it. What about you? Thanks Natureboy56
  20. Yeah, I have foun a 5 terrain cache too. I do think that there are quite a few 5\5s though
  21. ughh, hate em. jk. It really fun to be competing with everyone else. there is this one gut in particular that has a phone hook up when ever ther is a new cache. We are constantly checking the computer to see if anything was published. Darn you DWkittler!!
  22. That's actually quite large! I have found a number of nano-caches, these aren't the smallest I have found, just the smallest I can find a picture of quickly! This entire cache is smaller than the fingernail on an adult man's pinkie-finger. Magnetic, waterproof, contains a log and easily hidden anywhere you can get permission! Even smaller are the backs for electronic jewelry sold at WallyWorld... replace the battery with a small log (extremely small, but signable) and there's nowhere it can't be hidden. Ed Another pic: I have seen ones slightly smaller than that, but can't find a pic of one at the moment. About the same idea though. Yes, I just bought 3 of those from you on ebay! I definately reccomend them! remember me, natureboy56? Thanks again for those. I can't believe how fast you ship.
  23. How many 5/5 caches have you found? I haven't found any.. at least not yet.. There is only one within 50 miles of me though...
