  1. I paid $325 for mine on eBay NIB. Granted I'm not a power cacher, but it's more than I'll ever need in a GPS.... Garmin kind of "made it" for geocachers; Plus, it also supports turn by turn if you want to use it for road directions. In my research the big thing to consider is if you want touch screen or button interface. That was the big talking point on this device (since it does just about everything the rest can do). It's a mid-high end model. I've used an Oregon and Montana and vastly prefer the button interface - Garmin Touch screens aren't true touch screens... they're Press Screen. Sometimes the interaction with them can be dodgy, ime. The only thing is the 62s doesn't come with very good maps... you pay quite a bit extra for those. I think the higher models come pre-loaded with some better basic maps. I'd recommend it. You certainly won't be disappointed with it.
  2. After A HUGE headache with my new 62s, and several not-so-fun caching days of abnormally high blood pressure, I tried this and it seems to have worked. Going from Geocaching dashboard to Geocaching-Detailed dashboard I think has solved the problem. I'll post back if there's still something wrong to let everyone know. It was so frustrating... I spent weeks researching GPS devices, asking around... spend hundreds of dollars on a brand new device that had so many great reviews, only to have it rendered 95% unusable after upgrading from 2.* to 4.5. Thankfully, changing dashboards seems to have finally got it working again. Thank you so much, Ron. Cheers from beautiful Autumn in NY!
