Greetings Tokyo cachers, It looks like once again my ship is going to Japan this summer. This time I'll wrap my ankle with bubble wrap , and I have a couple of other cachers on the ship!!! As timings get more concrete I'll be letting everyone know. We should try to plan an event. anyone interested please email me. Fish

Greetings all... Well, my trip to the Far East has been cancelled due to what looks like a Broken Ankle while my ship was enroute to Pearl Harbour... Greetings all, Just wondering how many cachers who are also military will be taking part in Rimpac in Hawaii this year?... And if any want to get together for a drink/cache hunt?

I'll be leaving in mid june and should be there sometime in July.

The benefit would be that you can see how bad of a heart attack you'll be looking forward too on your way to a cache!

Greetings from the Great White North (Canada)! I am planning to be in Tokyo this summer. Are there any cachers in the Tokyo area who are interested in meeting and possibly exchanging some travel bugs? Fish

I think It would also be interesting to see the 10 "oldest" cachers. Those who are truly the ones who got the first finds in Ontario, and Canada for that matter who are still active in the sport.... just a thought.

Here's one that I did a couple of weeks ago.... enjoy... Actual Log entry... Have you ever had one of those days where you should never have turned on your GPS?... Well..... I did all the calculations for this cache today (Yes... I used all my fingers and toes... and used a crayon). And I figured that I was pretty close to being bang on... Hit the old GOTO button and I was off to the races... Got to the location, and started searching..... hmmmmm..... Nothing here... What the heck? Getting frustrated I pull out my handy dandy Cell phone and give MarinerBC a quick call.... as I'm talking to him... I realize my near fatal mistake... I hit the wrong waypoint! AHHHHHHH!!!!! (Fish is now banging his head on a telephone pole mumbling "Stupid, stupid, stupid). With new co-ord now set for the GOTO, again I'm off to the races... Well... I get to the area, and I start searching cursing the name TWR as I crash through the prickle bushes... after awhile... and wondering which scratches are going to get infected... I call MBC again... I told him where I was. You can almost hear the laughing in his voice.... and he says.... your about 10 meters off. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!... As he says that I walk up to the tree.... and I say "No..... Awwwww crap!" There it is...Thanks for the hunt... Thanks MBC for the clue, now I'm going to sit back enjoy my coffee... and ponder which scratch is going to stop bleeding first... TNLN. Thanks for the hunt!

That is such a cool idea.... I started using Welding Rod Containers, painted and using the belt clip hidden on the bottom branch of a Douglas Fir tree.... lots of people were cursing my name for a while...

My throwing out the idea of a non-profit org actually came from looking at the Toronto Ghosts website.... They are an Ontario non-profit organization. At least I figure we can prove geocaches are real! I have no interest in Geocaching becoming a charity. I was merely making a suggestion. I have noticed the trolling from lessenergy since I got back from the gulf.... His total lack of caching, for the amount of time he's been registered, speaks volumes. Anyways, When I get out to Ontario in the summer, I hope to be able to spend time helping the Oga. Thanks gang, Fish

Have you considdered becoming a non profit organization?... first off, it will write off buying a domain name and wed space.... plus if every so often, you guys need some coin for the site, you can ask the members, (and it's a tax write off). Just wondering???.... Fish

I have a GPS76 .... Abd I've found it to be very accurate... Wish it was the MAp76 thoungh....

I was out in Whitby for Christmas....(and took care of getting a couple of caches there) While I was visiting the wife and kids.... I am hoping to be back in ontario and out of the mob by mid August at the latest....

And if the wind is going through the zipper..... You can use Duct tape to seal it!
