Hello All, I'm a new geocoin collector who is totally addicted. I need some advice from other collectors out there. When you obtain a coin for your collection do you retrieve the activation code? Does retrieving the activation code make the trade value less for the coin? The coins I've recently collected are not activated but their activation codes have been retrieved. I keep the activation codes in a spreadsheet so I can provide it if the coin is traded. My other coins that have personal sentiments have been activated and will remain in my collection or be set free for others to enjoy. I'm I doing this all wrong. Please feel free to give advice and let me know what you do. Thanks for your help. Greg

I posted in that thread and it has been deleted. It is even deleted from my profile where you can search all previous posts you've made. It is concerning that a thread can/will be totally deleted. I would also like to know why it was deleted. Was it because people were upset about how a coin sell was to be completed then changed after orders were made and paid for? Inquiring minds want to know.

As a new coin collector I find these auctions despicable! I have been given two coins by Moose Mob (for my kids) and we will keep them forever. These are my children’s first and only coins and I cherish the memory of their excitement when they opened the gifts. I don’t understand how the almighty dollar can justify these sales. I’m sorry this is happening. Greg
