  2. I have been useing Fuzzy's Cache Simplifier for a while now, and I don't know how I managed to survive without it! It should come bundled with Internet Explorer .

  4. When I checked the cache page for Washington State it had this message at the top: "Due to the number of caches in this state, the search results by state have been limited to the newest 500 caches. If you want to get localized information, visit the Hide and seek a cache page where you can search by zipcode or lat/long. We're working to provide better searching features in the future". Well, that's fine, but the results are not sorted by date with the most recent first, either. The most recent 500 would be relatively ok, but a random 500 blows. Is this just a temporary glitch?
  5. Interesting article here about the grief being caused by the increasing availability of inexpensive GPS surveying. http://www.msnbc.com/news/789040.asp?0dm=T18KT Aparently some jurisdictions used rocks, trees, and river junctions for benchmarks, and some folks who thought they lived in one state or county actually live in a DIFFERENT state or county!
  6. Camera Thyme reports that 91910 CA has returned from California. THE WINNER! Elapsed time about 10 weeks. Congratulations to my fellow Team 91910 members, oregone, soup, skooter, Moose n Squirrel, and especially RedwoodRed and Steak N Eggs (Team Geogadget) who saw the bug to it’s destination. I have posted a race update with maps on the Galaxy 500 cache page here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cachelog_details.asp?ID=62504&L=407650

  8. Please, do not make incisions in a snakebite, or try to suck venom by mouth! These techniques have been shown to do more harm than good. Please read the extensive snakebite first aid information here: http://www.xmission.com/~gastown/herpmed/snbite.htm
  9. Gee, do ya think it could be because you can't have TWO CATCHES WITH THE SAME COORDINATES????
  10. Wow, tons of interesting stories and coordinates on that website. If I was anywhere near Colorado, I would definitely mine that info for possible geocache locations!

  12. Bad news, Ma!Team Liahona fessed up and logged your bug in and out of Nebraska and Illinois, so 80751 was last logged outside of Chicago on May 14. This increases the CO bug's remaining distance from 453miles to 786 miles and drops it from first to fourth place . Of course, it could actually be in Antartica by now, I'm just going by where the bugs were last logged (Moun10Bike's excepted, cause I'm trying to razz him a bit)!

  14. The current race situation is updated here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cachelog_details.asp?ID=51318&L=352098 Cheers,
  15. I am planning on doing another update soon, but I am waiting for another move or two. I have a hunch some major moves are coming soon. In the meantime, you can get the quick picture from this map: http://www.oz.net/~jake/images/Galaxy2.jpg

  17. Just wondering which state has the most geocaches per square mile? Anyone crunch those numbers yet? I have a hunch Utah still leads the pack.
