People need to lighten up it is a joke if you are worried about your kids then just simply do not take them to this cache. It is so hard for anyone in this country to be a adult with people that get their panties in a bunch of this stuff.

Wow you guys are missing the best part when you mapquest, google earth and what not. I put the coords in my GPS and follow the arrow. It may take me 1 hour to go 10 miles but its more fun that way. I will never look at a map or get directions to the general area for caching.

Clearly speed of delivery is not the draw to this. Let me understand this (clarify for me if I'm wrong) -- I can send a postcard to someone (if there is a geo-postbox in their area) and they will receive it in about a year and a half? Better keep those messages non-time sensitive. Seriously though, what am I missing here? A year and a half? My TB is all the way to California in less then a month.

Oh yea I was thinking maybe someone could set up a mailing list or a webpage with a list of people who want to be "Geo-pen pals".

So many of you are being negative towards this. I know that its nothing that special but I think maybe it might get people more involved with people. Something this sport needs. Zonker I will be opening one of these in middle Georgia, USA. PS who cares about the icon, its just a image.

Gas is 2.89 at the station I work at. I cache every weekend and will not stop. Sometimes though its between spending the 20 bucks on a new DVD or going caching the next day. The caches always win

I always paint my cans and top it off with a custom Geo-cache decal. I only have two caches though.

Only one encounter with the police, he didn't care and told us not to break anything and then left.

I am new to this sport and I still enjoy finding ammo cans and not micros. I will hike instead of ride. My first cache placed has great items in it. I always trade up. I make sure I write more then TN/LN in the log book. The trip there is what its about. Maybe somethings just don't change.

I liked the films I am about 30 min south of Atlanta, I am going to have to check those caches out!
