  1. Poison ivy is part of nature. Your cache is in a natural area. Makes sense that cachers would be aware that there *might* be PI around the cache. Just add the PI attribute and make a note in the description. I would leave the cache where it is.

Was a reviewer note posted to your submission or something? If so, what did the note say?
  3. www.ticktwister.com - that's quite a tongue twister!
  4. Then avoid Dallas, Texas. There's a series of 120+ in bus shelters here.
  5. I wouldn't let it bother you. I thought it was funny that he posted coordinates in his log that matched the ones on the page.
  6. Not only that, but he apparently ate Santa Claus! Awesome story and very funny line!
  7. Clayjar gave it a 4. http://www.clayjar.com/gcrs/?
  8. No cacher used special equipment on the cache. To me it was a 3.5. The majority agreed with me. "Not obliged to read"? Sure, you don't have to, but this cache was not a park and grab. It would behoove you to read up and research before attempting it. Many of my caches are that way. If the cache if above your limits do not try it.
  9. I have found even these with wet logs, they only work if the quad ring remains in place and CACHERS tighten the cap properly. I replace the stock o-rings in my bisons before I place them. Go to the faucet repair section in your local home improvement store and get a packet or #4 o-rings. They last a long time and make the container truely waterproof. They also have o-rings for matchstick containers but I don't know the size off hand.
  10. It is / was a high terrain / high difficulty cache, meant to be difficult to get to and retrieve. I don't think that constitutes a design flaw.
  11. I'm hoping they find it on their own.
  12. Check Sissy-nCR's store for a stencil that you can use again and again. The decals you buy are very shiney and detract from the camo.
  13. Garmin's embrace of geocaching has certainly helped their market share with geocachers.
  14. It would be cool if you added the public domain geocaching "G" to use up some of the white space on the sign. Just a suggestion. Google "leatherman geocaching logo" for the template.
  15. Someone did this to one of my high difficulty and terrain caches recently. They seemed to think that I should go and fix it. Just wondering if they were out of line or if it was just me. @Palmetto - what did you post? I'd be interested in hearing what you had to say!
  16. Let's say you climb a tree and the ammo can separates from its hinges and falls to the ground. Do you climb down, retrieve the bottom of the can, and climb back up and replace it, or is it the cache owner's responsibility to fix it if you don't want to climb again? To me you should fix it since it doesn't require any special tools or glue or whatnot. What do you think, forum?
  17. Contact a cacher in your area maybe?
  18. Yellow card for misuse of a possessive apostrophe in the topic title. * * Posted for Isonzo Karst.
  19. What you want is a "Pocket Query". Here's a good tutorial: http://www.markwell.us/pq.htm
  20. Try the Amarillo Yahoo group and see if someone can pick it up for you: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AMA_Geocache When in doubt, don't place a cache.
  21. The few bolt caches I've found have had ragged wet logs. Maybe one of the above responses results in a waterproof container.
  22. Snoogans, like you I'm pretty much retired from finding and hiding caches. I've been archiving my hides as they go missing and don't place new ones. Playing the game has lost it's appeal to me, but I still like to share my opinion and experience in the forums.
