  1. Hi, I'd like to run some dynamic stuff within a couple of my cache pages but I've noticed that anything within ASP delimiters doesn't work or even show on the page. Do I need to format the delimters in some special way or is ASP just not gonna work? Thanks, Bill ~ 9Key I doubt sometimes whether a quiet and unagited life would have suited me - yet I sometimes long for it. Byron
  2. This is way better that the previous format. I've been using the XML in the current format and transforming it to HTML with XSLT. This new format will be a bit tougher but the extra data will be worth it! Thanks! quote:Originally posted by Jeremy Irish:I updated the xsd and the example.xml file. 3. Have your folks ever had a tbug reach a goal? Not one of of mine had made it before it "dissapared". ~ "If you take a dump in your mess kit you'll go to bed hungry."
  4. I'm wondering if the whole idea of the travel bug has run its course. So many are missing in action, lost, or stolen that it amazes me that anoyone buys the tags anymore. Or are they? I could tell you sad stories about my own dead travel bugs and I'm sure that you have your own, but it seems that overall travel bugs are failed. I'm not sure what the root cause of the disappearing bug is. Is it theft, forgetfulness, or something else . What are your thoughts? ~ "If you take a dump in your mess kit you'll go to bed hungry."
  5. Hey, I know this thread has long ago died, but I'm starting it up again! I'd love to see a PG-13 or R rating applied to caches! I'm 32 without ankle-biters and I'd love to seek out "adults-only" caches that might have cigars, beers, mini-bottles, etc, in the container. Of course this would be a b**th to enforce, but lets work towards Shangrilha! How kewl would it be to go to a cache in a forest somehwere filled with brands of beer that you've never seen before? Wicked kewl says me! ~ "If you take a dump in your mess kit you'll go to bed hungry."

I have a travel bug that is making it's way north and then east across Canada... but the whole time it's been active I haven't had any mileage recorded for it. What gives??? Isn't there supposed to be mileage updates when someone logs it in [providing it's over 30 miles of course]? It's great to see that it's moving but the kids would really like to see how far it's gone since it's in a race with another travel bug coming my way. Is there some way to get this to happen? Am pretty new to this whole thing so any help would be greatly appreciated. quote:Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. - Will Rogers (1879-1935) My guess is that the map engine for Canada does not track miles. I've been working on a digital map project at work and the data for Canada is pretty crappy. ~ "If you take a dump in your mess kit you'll go to bed hungry."

  8. I'm not following you - how do you "grab a TBug back"? If you take a dump in your mess kit you'll go to bed hungry.
  9. I'll be sure to use this form for all of my future TBugs. Folks seems to let their kids keep the bugs, far as I can tell (North Dallas parents are THE WORST) Thanks for the form dood! If you take a dump in your mess kit you'll go to bed hungry.
  10. Hi, I recently replaced my yellow Etrex with a Legend and I've been quite impressed with its accuracy. Initially I took both units along caching and found that the Legend was much more accurate, proabably because of the WAAS. Battery life seems to be about the same so far. The maps are ok, but I don't really use them. I like having the flexibility to have them though. Maybe one of these days I'll get the MapSource Topo CD. 11. Any idea where he gets those made? I've seen them on his web site and they're awesome!

  13. There's zero caches in Texas! Geocaching.com has a big head start on them.
