  1. OK, the pirate fish puts someone else on my "gift it" list! I will be all over myself to get a hold of that copper coin, too. Really nice!
  2. Got my coins and they are quite lovely!! The pictures don't do them justice at all. Thanks!
  3. OK, I've been drooling over this coin long enough! I wish it had "Spaghedeity" on it ... every time I see that it cracks me up! ... but I have a question. Maybe I haven't been hanging out here long enough to understand ... what's up with the fish skeleton? Is that someone I know?
  4. What HE said! ROFLOL! That ICSYBTHITKY (hey guys, try TYPING that!) version could be USEFUL ... I have several puzzle-mongers here who are also coin collectors. Maybe I could work it out so I'd inherit their collections! LOL Happy Trails!
  5. I saw these at GW and was IMPRESSED. Lockable, too! Hobby Lobby has those floss organizers, too and very often puts everything in a department for 40-50% off and does 40% coupons, as well. I think the cases that CinemaBoxers have are the best bang for the buck - and here I've been scouring garage sales and Goodwill for zippered notebooks! I may change my mind and get the cases.
  6. I got a gold treasure chest from that caching god, Team Alamo!! Thanks for the trade, Lee!!! I also got a PC from Creacher (love that cacheasaurus! Thanks Mark) and a LE GasCans coin with a "sun" crystal, along with a pin. Thanks Scott! I'm still practically acosting my mailman every day in hopes that my laptops will arrive ... but for some reason things from CA take twice as long to get here than from anywhere else, so I'm not too worried ... YET. Ooh, and I got my CGPC May shipment ... sweet coins; wish that alien would hurry up and get here! STILL trying to get my coins organized after the whirlwind that was GW5 ... Happy Trails!
  7. I want a purple one so bad I can TASTE it! (hmmm, is that grape or blueberry???) Sign me jealous!
  8. You know, things slip by because people aren't thinking about checking grammar and spelling, they're thinking about making sure the die is good and the colors are right, or whatever was wrong the last time being correct this time. I'm a big believer in check lists because of this kind of thing - and for a good reason. I will forever have pink cheeks over missing the misspelling of "Challenge" on the Texas Challenge '05 t-shirt design - even though it wasn't really my responsibility. I had some say over the layout because we got a sponsor that year, and there was a disagreement over how much room they should get on the shirt. So, I looked at layout, and that's ALL I looked at. I nearly dropped dead when I saw all the people standing in line for their Barbecue and saw "Texas Challange" on the top of their chests! Now people jokingly talk about the Texas "sha-LANghe" (as if it were French) because of that boo-boo. Many of us have actually taken a Sharpie to the shirt and corrected the spelling! LOL Having said that, I think the buck stops firmly on the artist's desk. They ALWAYS have the last check. They approve the artwork, they approve sample coins. I'm not saying that a coin broker should NOT point out a mistake; I would be GRATEFUL if they pointed one out on MY coin. I'm just saying that if you are the one who says "Make it so!" on a coin minting, then you better not have a beef with Number One if someone hits you in the starboard nacelle, know what I mean? Happy Trails!
  9. OMG, THIS IS JUST TOO CUTE! Now this may mean I have no chance whatsoever to trade for one, but I have to tell you what my first impression was (and it never came to mind when looking at your avatar) ... that's a NICE SET OF MEATBALLS you have there!!! (I felt I had license to say this since I have a nice big saggy set myself!) Shall I go hide now? Or could I get on the list for a trade?? Happy Trails!
  10. I don't have a really good photo of the black-on-black, or I would have posted it. It is VERY hard to capture without washing out the contrast. Now I have a question for you, FB, but I'll send it via email. Happy Trails,
  11. LOL! You sure have clout, Dorkfish! Candy
  12. I agree, they are LOVELY! How are you going to decide what to do with them? Have you thought about putting a hole in them so they can be attached to a TB or other trackable, or so they can be displayed on a chain or lanyard? That probably makes the casting process more complicated, though ... Happy Trails, Candy
  13. No so with the new rates -- international went up WAY more than domestic. Maybe we need to get a co-op going on both sides of the pond, to pool shipping resources over many orders. I would be willing to wait a month or more if it meant the shipping would be significantly reduced! Would it work??
  14. Any trades going on? I'd love to get one to send to my recently-moved-to-Phoenix caching buddy! Next, one of you down-easters need to do a Maine coin with my hubby's favorite sentiment about the state -- he says Maine has only 2 seasons ... Winter, and July 4th! Happy Trails,
  15. If there are no numbers whatsoever on it, then I think it's probably a signature item in the form of a coin. I have one coin that was hand-made from a bronze blank by an artist-cum-geocacher in San Antonio. NEVER will it leave my collection! Happy Trails,
  16. email sent ... and could you do me a favor and talk to my husband??? Our 25th is coming up next year and unless I act now, I'll get the usual card and dinner! LOL! Happy Trails!
  17. Russ, I have your order and I'm trying to figure out the best way to ship it so we don't go bankrupt! LOL The new rates are really horrible. I'll get with you by email about possibilities. Thanks for your patience!
  18. WHOOPS! Snoogans was still signed in to my computer! That was ME who tried to post that reply. Snoogans used my laptop while we were on our trip, and somehow he got logged off of the geocaching site but not the forums! LOL ROFLMAO! See Candy? I told ya I needed to log off. I'm SOOOO Glad you enjoyed it, Mark! Tell everyone about your LE Black Sheep! LOL
  19. TOO CUTE!! I'm in for a set ... email to come asap ...
  20. EWWWWW, and I LOVE that alien! I can hardly wait to hit it with my blacklight!
  21. Wow, two pages of posts were added just while I was trying to READ the thread! And winners popped in! Holy Moly, I'm not fast enough for this bunch! LOL! Good job on the guesses, especially the correct ones! I suppose after the laptop coin it's inevitable (sp?) that more things with hinges would start to appear. I can hardly wait to get my laptops!!! Happy Trails!
  22. Great picture!! I hope you know the story about this coin. Matt and Audra will be thrilled you like it. Happy Trails, Candy
  23. I neglected one VERY IMPORTANT thing regarding the coins, and that is where to get the activation code! For those of you who bought coins at GW5, go to: http://www.txga.net/coins/activate/ THE PAGE DOES NOT YET MENTION THE BLACK SHEEP, but I have been assured that the activation codes are in the database. I'll insert something in the shipments so you won't have to come back here to look it up, those of you who have ordered. Please check with me candylind AT gmail DOT com if you haven't received an invoice ... I have all but a few with technical difficulties issued. I've been checking my spam filters, but I could have missed something! Coins are still available if you missed these first time around. I'll also consider trades. Thanks, and Happy Trails! Candy
