  1. Who needs 10 of ANY coin? If I were buying for someone else as well as myself, I still wouldn't need more than 5. It's obvious that someone buying 10 coins is doing it for the purpose of reselling. And if they have to purchase extra coins under multiple accounts, at least it would slow them down so that the little people would have a ghost of a chance at getting just one. No sense beating a dead horse. I've put my money where my mouth is; I emptied my cart and requested that I be removed from the C&P mailing list. Beautiful products can not always make up for rotten customer service.
  2. So that means that if you're not going to MWGB you're probably out of luck, right? I guess I'll send money with a friend, and hope against hope I can get one there or on the website.
  3. Another suggestion would be to ask members of MAGC (Military Assn of Geocachers) as many of them have experience with Challenge Coins which are much like the one you are describing for work. Or, look at your geocoins, choose the ones you think are the highest quality, and as the originators who minted and/or brokered them. Happy Trails! Candy
  4. Ditto here. Can't get into the WAP interface either, which often works when the main site is having trouble, but you even get a network error there.
  5. More like at the mercy of US Customs, from what I've seen ... It seems FedEx has things down pretty pat! But if the Wheels of Government get gummed up ... look out! LOL The planchette is just perfect. I'm with Diva -- all plans for Friday are OFF! I'm tempted to beg for a couple of planchettes to make into earrings! LOL Happy Trails!
  6. AWESOME. Hate to sound like Bill and Ted, but what a treat to see such nice artwork coming out! I agree with CF30, it would look incredible in antique copper ... and I would definitely be on the hunt for one! Happy Trails, Candy
  7. I saw the ellandel Australia coin this weekend, and I WANT ONE! I was not looking at the forums when this went up for sale because I had no money (and didn't want to be tempted!), so I missed it. Anyone up for a trade? Also, I would really like to see a picture of any LE's that were made to see how they are different. PLEASE EMAIL CANDYLIND AT GMAIL DOT COM if you have one to trade! Thanks, and Happy Trails! Candy
  8. I, too, have sinned! I am a disorganized slob and I have lost TBs and trackable coins more than once. I am doing my best to reform, though. I spent HOURS last weekend re-organizing a bunch of stuff that's been in complete disarray in my living room so that I could get some projects done and start listing a bunch of items on eBay ... and found TEN travel bugs in the process. I'm in process of getting them all out but haven't found enough "caches of size" yet to accomodate them all. Milbank, good on ya for fessing up! You inspired me to do the same. Should we form a club called "hitchhikers anonymous"?? I've decided that all travel objects, from now on, have a dedicated pocket in my fanny pack; and once home, there is now a basket on my "project shelf" into which they will all migrate until such time as I take them back to the field. You organized ones out there, bear with us that never learned the art! Any hints appreciated. Happy Trails, Candy
  9. Aw, gee! You guys are nicer than ... well, you're REALLY nice! Thanks for the kind words.
  10. Durn! I was hoping for a chance at an Antique Copper. The Gold and Silver are awefully nice too, tho. I guess I will be camping out at me computer until these go up for grabs. I'm thinking they will go record fast and I don't want to miss out. CF30 With 3 events this weekend, and a hubby who can't go a weekend without a caching trip, I'm going to be praying that when news breaks, it breaks during the week!! Happy Trails, Candy
  11. I posted this in the Black Sheep thread, and have been sending the URL for the codes out after the first batch, but I'll post here as well. Activation codes can be found at http://www.txga.net/coins/activate . Happy Trails, Candy
  12. I'd like to get one for someone I know who often caches in a kilt! AND one for myself if possible. TIA for your consideration. Happy Trails, Candy
  13. Thanks, I'll send you a number when I activate one of the others WOW! You took great pics, Beverly!! You must have done a time exposure to get the black so BLACK. May I use these pictures for when people want to see what he looks like? Candy
  14. Probably not a good idea to post any tally updates, since you have no way to incorporate private votes and no idea how many there are. Great work! Everyone!
  15. MMMMMMM!!! ... Key Yime Cheesecake! I must be hungry ... oh yeah, time for breakfast! LOL I'm in for 2 or 3 of these. It will be STRIKING in gold ... Coins! I need Coins!! Invoices!! I need Invoices!! (WHAT AM I SAYING!?!?!?) Candy
  16. If there is anyone out there with an LE laptop that's up for a trade, please email me! I'm Jonesing for one of those color lids!! Thanks, Candy
  17. Anyone have any idea how long it's supposed to take the Post Office to update the information on a tracking number? Apparently my shipment information was submitted on the 16th to the Post Office, but that's all the info given. Does that mean it's still sitting at Stacy's house waiting to be picked up? Or is it lost in some bureaucratic quagmire in a back room at the Post Office? Sometimes I wonder about these things ... like when it takes stuff from TX to CA two days, but from CA to TX it takes SIX (they know how to make me nervous!). I didn't realize Post Office shipments had an ''upstream'' and ''downstream''!! Candy
  18. WHOOPS!! Just read your post about the symbol, and looked at the picture a little closer. Write this off to a pair of blind 52-yr-old eyes! Candy
  19. Berta, you indicated "blue transparent color" in your description ... have you thought about actually putting a small Swarovsky crystal on there? Or were those "geocaching skills" coins enough to put you completely off of stones on coins forever? Candy
  20. I LOVE the coin , and I think you should get samples in gold and copper, as well as silver. I think they would be just as lovely! Schöne Grüße, Candy
  21. I only got a couple at GW5 ... didn't get in on the ordering frenzy, I'm too new at this! ... so I would love it if I could manage to get a few more. I'll never even get CLOSE to what Sarah has ... my gosh, Sarah, I should have asked for a peep to go with your personal coin! But then, I should be working on trades, anyway, so I'll take a look at all the "peeps" lists and see if I can set something up! I'm diein' to go to MWGB, but I'm afraid it's not in the cards ... if things change, I'll be out there beggin' again, I suppose! LOL Happy Trails! Candy
  22. What I mean by Maker is the company that you have make the coins for you... I plan on getting a few coins done and would like to make them limited of 100 coins to make them rare. If I want all 100, how do I know that the company making them for me does not make more... also on the ones already out there, where is the print run shown? Thanx Paul I feel safe in saying the coin brokers you find listed on these forums are happy to meet any restrictions you place on the production of your coins. Since I'm pretty new at all this coin stuff myself, I will let the more experienced players expand on that. By "brokers," I mean people who take your coin order, help you with design and metal choices, place the order with a mint they trust, handle the import red tape, and market your coin for you if you wish. I am selling the first lot of coins I've ever ordered, and I was very happy to have a friend and broker that I could count on to help me create a good product. I might have done well to let him market them for me, as well! I'll let others chip in from here. Happy Trails,
  23. COOL IDEA! I'm in for one if they are made.
  24. En route! I have arranged for transport of a few orders to UK, which will save my international customers 50% or more on postage. Tell anyone else in Europe who might wish to order, that NOW is the time! Happy Trails,
