I agree with your comments.
I have been to three other NH caches that were hidden in exactly the same manner, and all were visited by at least two of the cachers [names politely redacted] who posted negative comments about this cache. These caches were not "buried", but placed in a recessed area in the ground; man made or natural, and lightly covered with natural material gathered from the cache site. One happens to be a premium-member-only cache that I placed.
In reviewing the logs of the cachers who found the three other caches, there was nothing even close to the harsh, critical comments made about the cache we now speak of.
As for your comments re: BBM, my personal opinion is the same. He has 7 finds and one placed cache. He might be thought of as a "junior" cacher by some, but it's too bad that we all can't remember when we were new-to-the-game. We all started at the same place; Caches found-0, caches placed-0.
