  1. [Content of a note written on the cache log site page. Removed to place it here on the forum, a more appropriate place for this type of discussion.] Sharpee, I agree with your comments. I have been to three other NH caches that were hidden in exactly the same manner, and all were visited by at least two of the cachers [names politely redacted] who posted negative comments about this cache. These caches were not "buried", but placed in a recessed area in the ground; man made or natural, and lightly covered with natural material gathered from the cache site. One happens to be a premium-member-only cache that I placed. In reviewing the logs of the cachers who found the three other caches, there was nothing even close to the harsh, critical comments made about the cache we now speak of. As for your comments re: BBM, my personal opinion is the same. He has 7 finds and one placed cache. He might be thought of as a "junior" cacher by some, but it's too bad that we all can't remember when we were new-to-the-game. We all started at the same place; Caches found-0, caches placed-0. Sharpee, I also want to say thanks for speaking out. Cheers, and happy caching. LandRocket
  2. Rant on: Several recent posts regarding the "Trek in the woods" cache, mention damage to the area. These posts are all DNF's. Personally I found the cache and am likely biased. However, on behalf of the cache hider, it's not the cache that's causing the damage, it is the Geocachers who are looking for it. The owner provides an excellent (my opinion: cash value <$0.02) hint, however it looks like cachers continue to look in the wrong place! It might help if future cachers look at the difficulty rating, take note where the cache hasn't been found. Then re-read the hint, and do a little thinking "outside the box". Again, I'm biased and admit it. I like challenging hides, but there's no need for any geocacher to trash a place to find any cache. Looking doesn't mean you have to dig up a place. 3. Please forgive me. I know there may be archives, however I was not able to get them to work for me. I'm looking for a procuct software/cable that would allow me to dump my data to/from a Garmin 60cs to a Palm Zire. **That is directly w/o the need for a computer. I have registered copies of Cachemate and GSAK.** Is there such a thing? Thanks for the bandwidth LandRocket
