  1. I've had alot of trouble the last 12 hours viewing photos on the cache pages. If I click on the link...it freezes my puter up. But when I right click on the link and bring it up in a new window I have no problems.
  2. I recieved a Black Nickel one today in the mail....stunning!
  3. Australia 2007 Black Nickel My Favorite coin ever
  4. When using easyGPS you can print up the cache page information. Is there a way to select what columns you want printed? I'm having trouble with the hints...they are not printing in its entirety...im only getting pieces of it...not complete and also alot of the columns I dont even need. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the head up about hogwildstuff...ordered mine and got them in the mail today! So excited LOVE EM!!!!
  6. The latest happy ending of a geocaching proposal: I'd like to make a proposal..., Can you help me make it special?
  7. Gee I like this new feature! My hope is to be the most popular cacher in the world lol So why doesn't everyone send me a friend request Does this mean I should wear a name tag on Sunday to the event with the name "E" on it?
  8. I had a problem with that at first but then realized they allow you to create what is called a "Blocking Cookie" which blocks out your computer from the stat count. I got another view from the Isle of Man Now I know whos been looking from Vermont lol I wish I could use the statcounter on my myspace blog but myspace has blocked the code. I guess they dont like statcounter.
  9. I really like this idea. I'm always writing things down about certain caches and then I lose the piece of paper I wrote it down on. I would use this type of feature daily.
  10. Do people check out your GC profile? Sure they do! Have you ever wondered who was looking at your GC profile? Months ago I happened to check out the source code on someones profile to see how they got the maps on there....during this time I was stunned to see they actually had a "tracker" secretly embedded in the code of thier page. This striked my curiosity enough to check it out. So I installed the code on my GC profile and was suprised to see people actually were looking at my profile! While it doesnt give you names of the cachers that are looking at your profile...it does tell you the city, town and state they are from...what time...stuff like that. It's sometimes very easy to tell who has been looking just by that information alone. I've had visits from Australia, London, Canada..heck even a place called Isle of Man (wish I lived on an isle of men lol) Anyhow I have told a few locals about this and they all have added this neat code to their profile. I thought I would share it with the masses now that I have tested it out and find it interesting enough to share. It's free! www.statcounter.com If im not allowed to post the link for some reason you could always check the source code on my profile...its down on the very bottom of my source code.
  11. Always happy to help a Wombat Why wait for the emails? Use this link to check for new caches in your area. Check this link several times a day....any new caches should be listed at the top. I use a similar link in my home state daily. Looks like you will have an extra step in chosing Western Australia from the pull down menu though...I dont have to do that! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?country_id=3
  12. I kinda like it myself I had no intention of causing trouble or drawing attention to a certain cacher...I never identified anyone by name....I just wanted to show the person involved that what he was doing was not the "normally accepted" way of doing things. If someone tends to make up thier own rules as they go along...I believe that just ruins the sport for others. I hope many people have learned from this thread about the proper way to move bugs, coins and especially Jeeps. That was my only intention! Pure & Simple....for the love of the game!
  13. I sent a link to this topic...to the podcacher show. Perhaps they can bring up this subject and talk about it on an upcoming show!
  14. One day I went caching with a friend.....his GPS would be within 10 feet....mine said I was 1 mile away....yes 1 mile. This happened all day long at ALL the caches. I had dropped it...and it never worked the same. It was a Lowrance iFindergo GPS. Now I use a Garmin 60 csx and have no problems...even when I drop it lol
  15. I had emailed the garmin website earlier and they checked into it.....I have no idea why a machine would send it to a different address.... "Thank you for contacting Garmin International. Due to an incorrect address, I have contacted the off site rebate company and asked them to reissue another rebate check. Please allow 15-20 business days for the rebate check to be issued. The rebate check will be mailed by the Postal Service to the address below. The rebate check will look like a postcard and will not be enclosed in an envelope. Please watch for it."
  16. I would play baseball...but not watch...I'm not a sports fan so I dont prefer any team over the other lol Thank you for the phone number...I just left a message for that contact. I did make and keep copies of everything! Yes..that is always a good idea!! It does show that they received and processed my Rebate....I just never received it
  17. I've looked everywhere for a phone number to the rebate center but cant find one. If you have one I'd appreciate the number. I did email the rebate center this morning.
  18. I feel your pain. Same thing happens to my bugs that are in the states. It's still pretty cold out there....winter time...turned into spring time....not everyone caches in colder or inclement weather. Looks like the cacher that has it has only been to one single cache since he picked it up...so I wouldnt be too worried just yet. I bet when he ventures out caching he will drop your TB. It's just that some people cache more than others....he must not be addicted like me yet lol If it was me...id wait until he starts caching again.....if he doesnt drop it off then...I would be concerned at that point. Happy trails to your TB!
  19. From looking at that cache...then at the owners profile. It seems he has atleast 2 very new caches. Odd that he in unreachable. He even just adopted a cache in the same town...3 days ago. I wonder what the story is...really would be sad to lose such an old cache. And....if he works at HP I would like to ask him a question about something totally unrelated to geocaching

  21. Try this link. I've never tried any of this stuff but I keep it saved for future ref...might come in handy some day. http://nozen.com/geo/html.htm
  22. You have to do each log all over again manually as far as I know.
  23. I never thought trying to teach someone about proper bug etiquette would make them email me with personal insults and name calling. Heck I guess I dont blame him for being embarrased....this is why I like to keep things in the forums...not in personal emails...it keeps people in check of what they say. Just wanted to warn people if they plan on emailing him directly....you just might get some really nasty name calling emails instead of a thought provoking conversation on the right and wrongs about TB's. I will NOT post his personal emails in this forum...but heck I wish I could!!!
