Anything new here?
If not: I found this older thread, where the solution was using a different browser. Maybe it is worth a try: https://forums.geocaching.com/GC/index.php?/topic/355673-edit-a-milestone-cache/#comment-5822118

Is it just me? For a while now, I have to constantly re-login to the ALC app and also reset my filter settings each time. This is really irritating.
I use Android 11 and the ALC App version 1.14.0.

How about contacting the CO through other means, such as finding some (geo)friends of his? Reading old log entries of the CO might help finding such players.

Is Groundspeak even aware of this issue? Maybe we should "report a bug" to draw their attention to this..?
I always thought that GS would follow this subforum "website".
@Frau Potter
Could we have some feedback on this please?

Some markdown codes are now rendered into a unicode emojis that doesn't resemble the same emotion in my opinion.
Exactly. Blush, Black Eye, Frown, Shy, Dead, Sleepy, Approve and Disapprove look totally different now. And they express different emotions than before. Was that really necessary?

I just saw that in a yesterday's log the three different emojis I put into my text don't show up. I have always used the codes shown here in chapter "Markdown Smileys". The codes [:)] and [:o)] don't show up at all and [8D] looks different than usual. I have attached a screenshot.
Does anybody know what happend? Do the codes not work anymore? I tried to submit the log entry again via website, but it made no difference.

I was told that the bug was fixed on the 19th or 20th, so maybe on the 16th it was still unfixed
It seems you're right, @ilTozzo! On Sunday I logged an event in between a lot of other cache finds and it has been sorted correctly. Halleluja!

I've been told by a lackey that the problem is solved. I'm exactly about to test it
Yes, please do that. It would be great news.
I can say that on 16th August an event was still sorted incorrectly in my find list.

Thank you, I didn't know that. Until yesterday "hide completed" worked fine without using any filters.

Almost-Happy-2nd-Birthday, dear bug!
@Bl4ckH4wkGER or any other competent staff member: Is there a chance to get this fixed (according to what the HQ support wrote in August 2020) and if yes: Will it happen in the forseeable future?

Same here. Can't log in there.

To no one's surprise, it's still not working.
Fun fact:
When you click on "Your Geocaching Logs This Month (Max 15 Logs Shown)", the order of finds is correct. (I attended a CITO event last Saturday). However, if you click on "Your Geocaching Logs (All)", the order is wrong and the CITO is falsely placed as the day's last find. Same with "All geocache finds" on my profile.
@ilTozzo: I'm sure that HQ has things to do with higher priority, but this bug still prevents players who are not using GSAK from attending events on milestone days. I consider this to be a significant mistake.

Message center doesn't load further than this below, and I've seen this intermittently since the weekend. Also, the forum looks rather bland as if something's missing. Firefox (up to date), win10 notebook. This message center error appears regardless of choosing to click on the message center button, or on wanting to send a cacher a message via a cache page.
(Almost) blank screens were often due to not having accepted cookies. Please go to GC.com's "Settings" and "Cookies" and check this.

This seems to affect mostly cachers from down under? Or rather, far to the east.
No. This problem also occured with some German players who logged their two finds yesterday.

This is so frustrating. I logged a CITO as my second find of last Saturday. However, the website shows it as my first find of the day.
Is it really so difficult to show people's attended events in the correct order? It worked properly for so many years and since August 2020 logging events became messy.
And nobody at HQ seems to care about it. This was my answer of August 2020 from HQ's support team:
"Thank you for contacting Geocaching HQ.
We are aware of an issue with logging Events and the order of the logs. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to get this issue resolved soon."
As I said, this is so frustrating...

New update solved the problem.👍

Since yesterday's update the app immediately crashes when I click on my profile. I tried logging in and out, deinstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, cleared the cache. No success. Seems as if I have to wait for the next update...

These include the ability to see all of your finds and hides, additional information such as region and country information, and new filter functionality to name just a few.
Before we remove the old search results, we will make further updates to the current search results based on the feedback we have received. Although we have no timeline to share at this point, we will keep you updated with release threads as updates are implemented.
I'm very happy to read this. Thank you in advance!😃

16 hours ago, pgavlak said:- many cachers now have thousands of caches that simply don't appear in the *All finds* page!
And that's exactly the point I don't understand at all: Newbies as well as players who only play occasionally and have less than 1000 finds can see all of them. On the other hand, long-time players who play often and with enthusiasm and therefore have several thousands of finds, should see only a fraction of all caches they have found? And does that mean premium members are from now on expected to pay for no longer being able to track the entire course of their caching history? Is that the way to treat loyal customers? I am very disappointed.
