I guess my goal has been and continues to be to get outside and have fun hiking and Geocaching. That and of course visiting places I would have never otherwise thought to visit while sharpening my GPS, observation, finding and hiding skills.

When Geocaching with my Dad he always carries a good Leatherman. Recently he has grown to enjoy using a folding Folstaff hiking/wading pole to assist in assending/decending steep grades and steading himself crossing difficult areas. If deemed it necessary he also invite the 'Chief' along, only 38 but he is capable to assist if needed.

The ones I found easy were micros in the middle of a parking lot, there was only one sign on a post for 25m!!!!

My 15 month old godson geocaches with his dad and two dogs all the time, they really enjoy it as a family activity. As long as dogs are permitted, go for it!
