  1. Last time it was mentioned to a seller "could be stolen" the threat from the seller was "will throw the TB's into the nearest skip..." G
  2. Aaah! It's a phone! Only use my mobile to make/recieve calls and send/recieve texts, anything else is WAY too complicated! G
  3. GPXview or GPXsonar Alternative link, their site seems to be "Slow" G
  4. Trigs are loggable, just not on GC.Com! Trig icon/script here And, not only, but also... Not only Simply Paul caches -script here G
  5. To (mis)quote Bill Shakly... "Caching is not a matter of life and death; it's far more serious than that" G
  6. Welcome to Geocaching! The Geocoin is a traveller, and should be dropped into another cache soon. Once you have recorded the fact you have it, by clicking on the coin/tb icon on the cache page (if you haven't found the page by the previous mentioned link) it will then show in your inventry. If you still have the coin after 14 days you get a "nag" from the site, saying to move it on soon, or let the owner know! You will need the small number mentioned, to record in the log the fact you DO have the coin. G
  7. How many is "A string of DNF's"? We've seen the DNF, and we will get out to look, honest! G
  8. As Delta68 says. We found the North TB without looking for it, but then had to keep an eye out for the West TB! Also Alpha Quest X by Messe... 2 TB's to find... Both have around 20 (twenty!) people watching via the watch list! -You also need to find two caches- this one is not called "Xtreme" for nothing! G
  9. It is possible to connect to two computers... I have mine set to connect to my laptop and K's laptop -so I can update geocaching stuff from either! Tried connecting as Guest? Edit. Just a thought -Are yo trying to connect with Microsoft Vista? Doesn't use Active synch -doqwnload the new connection proggramme from the Microsoft website... G
  10. Happy Birthday! On the Legend -presume it's the same on the Vista- Press and hold the thumb stick >comes up with Mark Click the thumb stick down, to the co-ords, press thumb stick -OK >this should high light the co-ords window, Press thumb stick down and move around the numbers and input the new co-ords, then click OK, thewn select "Go To" Or on the main screen, it's under "Mark" If youre Waymarking the car, press and hold thumb stick, then OK. Make a note of the waypoint number 001, 002 etc, or highlight the number and change to a better name -like CAR. We gave up on one of our earlier cache hunts, due to not being comfortable inputting co-ords in by hand on the trail! Log G
  11. G:UK can personalise your ov2 file for you, and shows you caches as Red = Found Green = Hidden and Blue = Not Found At the time of generating the ov2 file we hadn't hidden any! I load all onto the TomTom, and have the alarm set for the Not Found caches! It's set for us... So if you cache around Warwickshire a lot of caches will show as "Found" and most of the caches you have found around home will be "Not Found" but is better than nothing until the excellent G:UK site is back! email on it's way, as soon as you let me know what your email is!!! Contact via profile. G
  12. ?? GSAK has whatever you put into it. I don't understand your comment. GSAK requires a lot of PQ's to get all the UK into the database. I use GSAK, but much prefer the G:UK file download for the TomTom! Last G:UK ov2 I did was 11 Sept -bit ropey as some of the newer caches are missing -and it's personalised for KandG Found/Not Found etc... BUT if you are interested in it, let me know. G
  13. PQ's other than "My Finds" only return a maximum of 500 caches, and don't show archived caches. "My Finds" does and has ALL your caches. G
  14. I have a theory along those lines! eg Close to town/city, easily accessable by families, more likelyhood of 'tat' A good hike into the middle of nowhere, no families with young children finding, better swaps. Have no problem with MacD toys in caches, but when its broken? Where are you leaving these items?! We would like to swap to collect them! G
  15. Not a lot of help... But I had same/similar problem, and ended up doing hard reset, re-installing GPSgate, Beeline and GPXSonar, and memorymap. Then left it on with a view to the sky, and 45 mins later it had found the sats! No idea what caused it. G
  16. So long as it's PopUpPirate it's OK! See link on the forums from here If it's any other seafaring type cacher tell 'em to walk the plank! G
  17. See "GeocacheUK -how to sign on" lower down. Sites not working at the moment... G
  18. You also need to >Export Data to device -under mobile device. G
  19. Works for me on a Mac -but don't have an H- whats the differance? email, if you need help re programmes and applications for Macs and caching... G
  20. Open a second account, hide caches in one name -with the log book ready signed in the other account name! Easy! G
  21. Wow! We're part of that! All we have to do now, is start finding them all! G
  22. Got the latest scripts? Must admit, I have the maps to load first -move them to the top of the list. (Under "manage user scripts") G
  23. Warwickshire County Council promote the cache at Burton Dassett Hills park on their website, with links to GAGB site, and the cache page on GC.com Link To councils web page about the park. G
  24. The Royal British Legion website says G edit to add link http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/index.cfm?asset_id=508936 7th bullet point down
  25. I use a Pocket PC, use a card reader to copy over the GPX file to the storage card -no problem! Must admit to having to use a PC to install the applications to the PPC though... G
