  1. Try http://www.ukgeocachers.co.uk/ Customers area> My Counties Map (You need to register. They are well worth buying from -no connection, other than a satisfied customer!) G
  2. To date: 522 finds. 11 DNF's. 5 were confirmed missing, 3 of which we have been back and found -once back in place. 3 have been archived so no chance of finding! 2 we just didn't look hard/long enough! 1 had a muggle sitting so close it would have given the game away to search. Those we DNF'd that were still there were even found by others on the same day! G
  3. Yep. By the Royal Protection Squad. We have the 'Stop and Search' logs to prove it! Apparently we parked a 'little too close' to a Royals rubbish awaiting collection by the binmen! We said we were looking at the nearby stones, which are a local attration, and were given permission to go in the field to get a closer look at them. G (We never seached for the cache, as we felt we were still being watched.)
  4. Do you mean on the windows, or for drinking at? G
  5. For MarkandLynn. A night cache in Warwickshire. Dino's and Ghost's Night Tour by sebapostol (GC11HNA)
  6. Whilst we don't specifically Night Cache, we do end up caching in the dark at this time of the year. We usually find the ones we look for! Torch, spare torch/spare batteries. Watch out for low branches, watch where you're putting your feet as you walk along. G
  7. Used a Keyspan and also use a £20 lead from Tandy. Mac OSX MacSimpleGPS, and on PC laptop. (Although it's not classed as USB -it's still classed as a serial connector with some apps!) Haven't tried BPSBabel so can't comment. Don't think Garmin do things to be Mac compatible yet, which is why the Garmin Webupdater. doesn't work... G
  8. Ian , I'm so sorry you have this trouble with the geocaching and TRIGPOINTING sites. If you ever want to ask for subscriptions towards trigpointing.uk, please do so. I have had endless fun at lunchtimes on your T:UK site and your being down has led me here. Ganso I know there are good historical reasons why these websites are not meant to be subscripted but I would echo that. I would contribute if ever it changed as I am a grateful user of both sites. If it wasn't for trigpointing web site I would never have discovered geocaching. I know that Teasel's feeling is to keep the site free to use, there are those of us that donate PQ's to help. I'm happy to donate, towards helping to keep the site running. I'm sure others (as they have said in the forums) are willing to donate. So how about it? A Donate button (Paypal?) so those wanting to can donate, nothing extra gained -other than that "Warm Fuzzy Feeling" of doing something to help? G
  9. Got the email request to submit results at lunch time... December results: 0 Finds 0 Hides 0 TB Moved 0 TB Released 0 Trigpoints Do you think it's worth trying to submit them?!! G
  10. As you say; Can you hide it elsewhere close by and/or make it a short 1 stage multi? G
  11. Got my Vista PC to see my Garmin Legend... Tried checking for new drivers on Garmin site? Think this may have been solved on the UK part of the forum a while ago, may be worth having a read of the older posts or asking again over there... Give a few more specifics, how do you connect USB cable or adaptor, what software etc. G
  12. PQ's seem to be s l o w at the moment... I'm still waiting for one I edited this morning! G
  13. It's there somewhere! Don't quote me, but simply; If it's for you, no problem. If you want to sell the labels you make, you need permission. G
  14. Is the cache in Waveny Park? There is a series of Member Only caches, which as a non-subscriber, you won't be able to see -unless you pay to subscribe. G
  15. "This is a subscriber-only cache." To save you looking, if you're not a subscriber! G
  16. I remember previously when the TB's were for sale on ebay, and things got... 'a little heated'. Maybe we need a locked thread, easily found by newer forum users -and the not so new- where, as has been suggested, that someone from here will bid/make contact, so we don't bid against each other, or show too much interest in the item/s. No-one else should communicate in the matter until a conclusion is reached. It seems to me that the 'older' forum members realised this was happening from the thread, but not the 'newer' ones... The forum, and thread can be found without too much difficulty, by anyone selling a coin or TB. We do need to be aware of the fact -and take care in what we say here... My 2d worth G
  17. Don't know until a week or two of the date if I/we will be working or not. How much/little notice do you require? G
  18. On our Watchlist. 1 Cache that "Requires Maintenance" - 1 of 16 watching (Maintenance 'In Progress') 2 TB's -part of the Alpha Quest series - 1 of 18 and 1 of 20 watching 1 TB -not in a cache we found, and seems to be "Missing In Action" We found another TB in the cache which was supposedly 'elsewhere...' Added and removed as needed; -Our DNF's until they are found or reported as missing. Caches that are part of a series, if we are looking at doing the series and there are DNF's on any in the series. G
  19. I Think... It's not replying to the Groundspeak email sent to your email address... Email address changed in the profile/account details recently? G
  20. Best to do/say nothing. Dont show any interest in the coin, and leave it to the Royals. If the Royals are successful in winning the coin, we will know who the coins owner is. G
  21. Q? Would it be better to change the date on the cache page to after 12th January 2008? As it is the date is before the planned meeting to discuss details... We're up for attending -depending on date/work. Most likely arrive/cache/attend event Sat pm, B&B Sat night, cache a bit Sun am before heading home. Work depending Friday, could arrive/B&B Friday night. G
  22. Last time it was mentioned to a seller "could be stolen" the threat from the seller was "will throw the TB's into the nearest skip..." G
  23. Aaah! It's a phone! Only use my mobile to make/recieve calls and send/recieve texts, anything else is WAY too complicated! G
