  1. I get stuck here forever Reading and Lurking!!!! It's the worst, I hate it but it's so interesting!!!
  2. I set up my own game sort of like a Multi-Cache. Since we couldn't all fit in one car, I made it a race between 2 teams. We gave each team the first clue with a decryption code on it. Each team has their own course but they run parallel. In other words, Team A looks for their clue in one spot while Team B is looking for their clue in a different spot 100 feet away or so. That way the two teams can interact and see when the other team finds it and so it's a race!!! So the final spot was at "Arctic Circle" an ice cream store where the two teams could talk afterwards while enjoying an icre cream cone. It was a blast!!! When both teams found the last clue we were both running to our cars and my friend tackled the other teams driver so it would give us some time!!! Well, they got in front of us but they turned one way and we went straight to a different way, as we all jumped out of the car they pulled up at the same time and everyone was dashing and pushing to get in the store first!!! It was SOOO Much FUN!!!!! We were going to have an additional prize for the winners but since it was sort of a tie, we didn't tell them about it, the real prize was the fun and how it was all fair. This was an awesome activity for anyone who plans on doing something like this. Really fun with big groups. E-mail me for any ideas if you want to try it out.
  3. I know theres other topics on google earth but they don't really relate. I think it would be SO cool if you could make it show when a cache was temporarily disabled in the google earth geocaching network thingy. Maybe just saying it in the description or making the title in the color RED when you hover over it. Just some suggestions. Thanks!
  4. It's in a separate plastic container that I spray painted black so it can be camoflauged better and it will stand against the weather. The only problem is it's only been a few weeks and someones lost the key!! It still works but it's just not as cool.
  5. I got this box in Guatemala, it's hand made. The cool thing is you have to find out how to open it, it's actually really hard, many can't figure it out. The key and the keyhole are hidden in secret compartments (so is the log book). This is a keychain cache, so this is all the stuff it started out with
  6. I want to know, does the difficulty rating refer only to how hard it is to find the cache once your there or does it sort go along with the terrain. I've seen some caches that are on the top of a mountain with a 5 star terrain and a 5 star difficulty but the cache is a huge container thats way easy to find.
  7. How come it shows caches crossed out?? I think it's annoying to see all the caches that are temporarily disabled and most of them aren't going to become enabled again so do they ever get off the list? Is there a way to search for caches discluding the disabled ones. I know you can disclude the ones you have found. Oh well.
  8. It shows which way to go depending on the direction your moving, so if your in a car going north and it says you need to go south, then you rotate and look out of the window to the east, it won't show you need to go right, it will still point down but it will say south because you are still going north. If that made any sense at all!!! Same idea if your standing in place, it doesn't work like a real compass unless you have an expensive gps. Or you just might need to calibrate it or something like everyone else was saying
