  1. The mission statement was printed out and placed in a ziplock along with the TB. Thats the way they were released and thats the way they are traveling unless seperated for whatever reason. A Taggless bug maynot have a directional goal but I'm sure it has a purpose. Even if it is to just bounce from one cache to another. The owner did not spend the money to get a tag, take the time to find the right object to attach it to and then not register and set up a page for it............... .....What am I doing?.........This subject has been beaten to death..........Done

    Amazing!

We let a couple of TBs out some time ago with specific missions. They have been bouncing from one Cache to another in the New England area. Then it happened...one of them (TBM02J) breaks free and starts on its journey! Wahooo! We looked forward to reading about the places it will go to. So What happens? Someone picks it up and brings it east. Not just part way...oh no...all the way back to just a few miles from where it started life! Amazing!
  3. Her first time finding the "Treasure". This is my most favorite Geocaching moment! Please, feel free to use this photo if you like.
  4. WOW! I knew it, I knew, I knew it I never should have responded to that statement... *Note to self* Never, Ever do that again! T*B*
  5. I gotta tell you I don't usualy get involved in this type of discussion but when I read a statement like that It's all I can do to keep my head from exploding! I mean no disrespect toward you or your views but in this time of hightened national security the very last thing I would do is refuse a search of my person or property. I am not a terrorist nor a criminal...I have nothing to hide! Let them search and ask the questions. When they are done and satisfied and send me on my way before I leave I'll shake their hands and thank them for being out there watching out for us. If the PO seems to have an attitude at the beginning of the situation...so what! By the time it's over they may turn out to be a nice person just doing his/her job. I would rather have the police search and question me (and others) than turn my TV on to watch another 9/11 or worse yet look out my window and see it. My Opinion... T*B*
  6. If the situation should ever arise again, rather than stifling a blood-curdling scream, might I suggest you instead start calling out (in a deep, resonant voice): Warm ... Warmer ... Colder! ... Red hot! If the cacher still can't spot where your voice is coming from, make sure you proclaim yourself to be "Jeremy, Patron Saint of Lost Cachers", responding to the prayers of the faithful. Insist the cacher compose a hymn in their online log to praise and thank you for guiding them to the cache. Mmmmmm...I like it! Saty safe...wear orange T*B*
  7. Is this because he wasn't in season? Yep! Geocacher season starts the first warm day of Spring after the snow melts when they are nice and plump from a Winter of sitting in front of their PCs eating microwavable burritos and cheezy poofs... Stay safe...wear orange! T*B* To Forum Monitor: I know its off topic...Sorry...could'nt help myself Please don't yell at me or I'll have to quit geocaching
  8. HEADLINE: Bowhunter does not shoot Geocacher! A few days ago while sitting in my stand bowhunting I had a moment of excitement when a movement caught my eye. It turned out to be a geocacher walking the trail. How do I know he was a cacher? 1: There is a cache in the direction he was headed. 2: He had the cacher "walk" going- head down looking at GPSr/papers/trail. 3: That night when I got home and logged in I checked the cache webpage...He had logged the find. To keep this on topic...He was not wearing an orange vest or hat but did have a black and red coat on. The orange would have been a much better idea. Needless to say he walked right on by and does not even know I was there...BUT...being the warped individual that I am I was tempted to let out a very loud blood curdling scream Not knowing the person (does he have a bad ticker? No sense of humor?) I chose not to. I did, however, spend the rest of the evening giggling my a.. off at the thought of his reaction Stay safe out there! T*B*
  9. WOW...I guess it has! Kit Fox thanks for the link T*B*
  10. If this has been discussed before I apologize... I was just wondering what the pros and cons are of hiding a cache for premium members only. I ask because we are getting ready to put together another cache and its one of the options we have available to us but can't seem to come up with a good reason to do so. Yes I know..."If you can't come up with a good reason to do it then don't!" We probably won't...but it got us thinking about the topic and we're interested in hearing different view points. Thanks T*B*
  11. 1: I understand there is some type of FTF program out there that tells you when a new cache has been placed in your area. Is this true and if so where can I find it? 2: Like everyone else I receive an e-mail when my caches have been found or TBs moved. Just yesterday both of my caches were found by the same person yet I received no e-mails when he logged the finds. This has made me curious. Can a person block the e-mail from being sent or do you think I may have just experienced a "glitch"? Thanks for the help! T*B*
  12. Thanks for the help! Iwas able to get there and retreive the Jeep T*B*
  13. We are new to the world of geocaching and lovin every minute of it! I do have a question though. What is the "protocol"(for lack of a better word) concerning revisiting a cache? There is a cache, which we have found, close to our home so I tend to watch it. Someone placed a jeep TB there a few days ago and I'm itchin to go get it. Is it ok to do so or should I leave it alone and just chock it up to bad timing? TFTH...T*B*
