FS Garmin ETrex Hardwood camo and ETrex Legend
Rifleman68 replied to Rifleman68's topic in GPS technology and devices
i don't have dates on them to tell the truth, neither is USB but cables are included. As for the condition these are both very lightly used, well cared for items. I wouldn't sell them to a community so knowledgeable on the topic and stay around if these were not worth it. -

Hiding Geocaches in Parks with lots of trails
Rifleman68 replied to Lieblweb's topic in General geocaching topics
all parks i have ever been too all have trail maps free for the public. use it with your overhead maps to locate the proper trail -
I have yet to have met ANY cacher in the wild that was anything but nice to me, only ones that I have seen being rude are in the forums. Maybe because IRL im 6'3 325 lbs and bench my weight, and people in the forums cant see that.

LAUGHS the LPC is at my dentists office, with 3 teenagers it seems like I spend alot of my time there, maybe a visit every other month for one of us 4. I have a small tin can, about 1/2 inch high and quarter sized, friction sealed lid, I painted it rust colored, fixed a magnet to the bottom (earth magnets are so dadgum fun)fixed our Sig item to the top and can use the magnet to hold our FTF coin to the inside workings as well. plan to call it "A filling for a Bad Clown"

Religious Proselytising in Caches
Rifleman68 replied to Sniggle&Snoet's topic in General geocaching topics
I have found pamphlets in caches before, non religious, but violent/drug related, and traded for them just to get them out of the cache. I didn't think about that, but I bet if I go to a local church I could get some material to better trade for the offensive stuff with LAUGHS !!!! -
we have a few by me..one was a cool puzzle. do it..

Me and My son under our Team Bad Clown name have just placed our first hide. We waited till we had over 50 finds, for him he wanted an ammo can STUFFED so we went to the Dollar Tree and stocked up on goodies. The hide was placed and turned in and activated. it went live yesterday 6/8/11 and got 4 finds the first day. We got some nice comments from the finders about how well stocked it was and even an e-mail giving us praise. Made our day!! we have a puzzle cache we are waiting on finding a good place for and a LPC we will hide later this month. This is a cool part of the game we have just moved into. If you want to see the listing its GC2XT8R

whats the general thought on photos at the cache site? when i take them, it may have the cache in it but the location is behind me or not in the frame. There is this cute little family by us who takes photos of the hide, like as dad or daughter has there hand on it. i asked them to not post those, now im wondering if im being anal.
