  1. Hi, I have tested it with GPSGate and the TCP Socket and it works well. My other gps programs works also well with 1 sec. GPS update time. So I think there is a bug with the internal GPS settings. My other question: Is the openWIG able to play sounds? Thanks a lot Andreas
  2. Meanwhile I make OpenWIG works on my HTC HD2. I install the Esmertec Jbed 20090217.5.1R2 So I can start the OpenWIG. I have tested it with my Wherigo-Cache Der verschwundene Geocacher But there are two problems. 1.) The sounds was not played. I take a look to the list of Wherigo code features that OpenWIG can run and see "PlayMedia" is supported, but I hearing no sound I dont know is it a problem of OpenWIG or Jbed. 2.) The much greater problem is: The GPS update time is round about 25 seconds while I choose 1 second update time I anybody out here who can tell me how to speedup the GPS? Thanks a lot and please sorry my bad english. Andreas Engel

  4. Hi, take a editor like Notepad an build a file named "wigconfig.config" with the content <configuration> <appSettings> <add key="AutoDetectGps" value="False" /> <add key="BaudRate" value="4800" /> <add key="CommPort" value="COM4:" /> <add key="CartDirectory" value="Storage Card\Wherigo" /> </appSettings> </configuration> and save it into the Wherigo directory. The player will start, but I have problems like this look here So long Andreas
  5. Hello, I have build a cartridge "Der verschwundene Geocacher" and it works well on a pda. But if I download this cartridge for Garmin Colorado I get an unexpecteed error. I found the problem. If the cacher enter a zone I play a sound. In this case the pda works well, but the Colorado show an unexpected error. If I remove the sound form the cartridge the Colorado works also without an error. I think, if I download the cartridge for the Colorado all things, wich are not supported by the Colorado, was removed. Is this right? Or must I program my cartridge so, that I must check by my self on wich device the cartridge is running and play a sound only if the device support it? Thanks a lot and please sorry my bad english Andreas
  6. I have tested the animated gif too. In the Media preview window of the builder the gif was shown correctly. But in the Emulator and on the pda I have the same problem. I hope in the new version the animated gif are supported. Or is there a other way to play "moving" pictures?
  7. Hello, now I have found a way to play Wherigo on my XDA Orbit. 1.) create configfile like shown before 2.) use Koofind as 2. GSP-program in the backgrund 3.) install BatteryStatus.0.05.CAB and use 270MHz clock http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatteryStatus_X...o_WM5_iM_cs.htm (you do it on your own risk) So now Wherigo's works well on my Orbit. Problems: The sounds does not work correktly If you choose a charakter or a item, you have to wait a little moment.
  8. Hello, I have tested Wherigo on my XDA Orbit (like HTC Artemis) and I found Wherigo works only if I start a 2. GPS program. Therefor I use Koofind. But in this kind the Wherigo works very slowly. Sometimes I must wait more than 1 minute for a new messagebox Other programs (like MagicMaps or TOMTOM) works well on my Orbit and this program's have more to do as Wherigo who must "only check some coordinates" and display a messagebox. Is there a way to make Wherigo works without a 2. GPS program? What can I do to speed up Wherigo? Thanks a lot and please sorry my bad english. Andreas
  9. Now I have found the solution and it works very well with my XDA Orbit. I use the Wherigo Player for PocketPC Version: 2.0.5004.4972 Last Update: 4/4/2008 Install it to your Orbit. Now create a file with the name wigconfig.config on your Orbit. The content is: <configuration> <appSettings> <add key="AutoDetectGps" value="False" /> <add key="BaudRate" value="4800" /> <add key="CartDirectory" value="enter here your cart-directory" /> <add key="CommPort" value="COM4:" /> </appSettings> </configuration> It works very fine on my Orbit
  10. Hi, I have try to tested the Wherigo Version 2.0.4907.4007 on my O2 XDA Orbit, and I have the same Problem. My pda locks up if I starts Wherigo If I be fast I can klick to "Menu" -> "GPS Settings" and uncheck "Auto Detect Gps" But if I try to select the Comm Port, the pda locks up. Can I make the Comm port selection in the registry? Is anybody out there who has a XDA Orbit witch is working well with Wherigo? Thanks a lot and please sorry my bad english Andreas
