  2. If you think it might be a battery problem. Remove the batterys and hook it to a usb conection. Mine turns on (60Cx), without the batterys in.
  3. I have not seen any pre-programed MicroSD cards. Maybe no one read the title of your post.
  4. If the title of this post were. "I'm getting tired of the problems in the 2.60 and 2.62beta firmwares ", I would not have read it. Thanks for letting me know about the new New Firmware. NOT
  5. Just use GSAK and Export HTML files. Put this folder on your ipaq. I put a link on my PDA to the file index.HTML Just try it. It's very fast. It uses internet explorer to show the files. You can just use internet explorer on your PC to view the HTML files just as you would on your PDA. I Make the files in a folder called Cache and move the folder to my memory card. You don't have to load the indes file. Just load any file in the folder and you will see a link on the top for the master index.
  6. I decided to go bluetooth. I have 2 PDA's (ipaq 2210 and Axim X50v) both have bluetooth. I wanted a car power adapter for my 60Cx so I bought a i.Trek bluetooth car adapter from Sempsons. Plus I received a free copy of GPSgate software so I can use more than 1 GPS program at one time. Sempsons i.Trek Bluetooth Power Adapter
  7. I only use my Pocket PC to read the HTML file. I use my Garmin 60Cx to find the cache. I use GSAK to sort and load the files into my GPS, and to create the HTML files for my PDA. I tried BeeLine, but went back to GSAK's HTML files for speed. I ulually have about 730 caches at a time. I know I do not need that many, but its the same effort as 50. I put a shortcut of the index.html file on my PDA's desktop. One click and all the information is available to me. I have an Axim X50v. The VGA screen makes reading the files so easy. Larry L
  8. If you become a Premium Member you will be able to do Pocket Queries. This will get you all of the information that you want. I load the Pocket Queries into GSAK. Filter out what I want, then Export to a HTML file. You can read the HTML file with Pocket internet explorer, on your handheld. The HTML file is sorted 10 ways. It works great. Just load open the index.html file and BAM. Premium Membership only costs $3.00 a month. If you do not think the membership is worth it, you can cancel at any time.

  10. I have the 60Cx. You do want to go sirF III. For your RV you do not want to use the small screen. But your USB cable hooks right up to your laptop you can use Garmins free nRoute software. You must purchase the maps. But you will have them for your handheald and laptop. I have a I.Trek bluetooth power Cable, so I can use it with any Bluetooth Device. IE PDA. Larry L
  11. Think sirF III When you get under the trees nothing else works like sirF III. You can get Compact Flash units from Semsons for $89.99. They also have bluetooth units for the same price. Your 2210 has bluetooth, there you go. I have Compact flash, Bluetooth, Handheld GPS units. The best way to go is a Garmin 60Cx, only because of the sirF III chipset. But budget goes way up. I even have a bluetooth power cable for this, so I can use bluetooth PDA at he same time. Any sirF III receiver will work very well. I would suggest bluetooth for 2 reasons. 1. No wires 2. You already have a bluetooth PDA. PDA's suck geochaching because the screen is so hard to read in sunlight. But they work great. If you use a PDA you must have GPSgate software. It gives you more than one serial port. You will want to run more than one software title at the same time. The only problem with this setup is bluetooth. It's just a pain in the a**. But it works. In the future you wont find any PDA's with a compact flash slot. Larry L
  12. I am receiving #33 today in Troy, NY I have a 120' hill 3 blocks east of my house. The signal is strong. It show 4 bars on my Garmin 60Cx. But the bar is hallow/

  14. I am quoting form a previous post I left. >I have a 1GB card. >I put the 64MEG card and saw it was formatted FAT32 >The new 1GB was formatted FAT. So I reformatted it FAT32. >I put most of the east on it. It took 665.3meg. no problems. >I removed the 60Cx from the computer and was able to install the same maps on a 1GB SD card. >It is 10 times faster. Next time I will use the adapter, and install directly to the microSD. I had no problems transfering 665.3meg. It took a while, but hey I just started the upload and went and wached TV. No big deal. It is much faster using a card reader. But in no means is it necessary. I have a SD slot in my laptop.
  15. I just read post #40 Entered the name in google and BAM http://stores.ebay.com/Super-Flash-Memory-Store

  17. Alkaline batteries are 1.5v X 2= 3v NiMH batteries are 1.25v X 2= 2.5v Alkaline batteries lose their power slowely. IE They keep going and going. You get the idea. NiMH batteries are very strong but they reach a point and poop, there dead. Im sure they want the meter to represent the current state of charge.
  18. Where'd ya get it??? Ebay FastMemoryMan, he has it for about $60.00 shipped
  19. I just checked with Fry's and they had the miniSD not the microSD on sale. Before you buy check. The miniSD 1GB is now $26.50 after rebate. I'm going to tell my son, he uses them in his phone.
  20. I have a 1GB card. I put the 64MEG card and saw it was formatted FAT32 The new 1GB was formatted FAT. So I reformatted it FAT32. I put most of the east on it. It took 665.3meg. not problems. I removed the 60Cx from the computer and was able to install the same maps on a 1GB SD card. It is 10 times faster. Next time I will use the adapter, and install directly to the microSD. Just for the heck of it I just checked, and it would take 1435.4meg for the lower 48 states. The largest microSD right now is 1GB
