Lucy's Walkabout was my last cache in 2006...first cache in over a month for me as we have been busy moving to our new home which happens to be very close to the cache. My next cache will most likely be the next one in his series next weekend.

Funny thing when I hid the cache at Christmas Lake, I didn't know that was the lake's name until i looked on the gps screen. It just happened to work out! I still intend to get my float tube out there and try for some trout. Yes, I highly recommend Dreamer's Oh Tanabaum. A most excellent cache!

We lost power last Thurs and got it back early Sunday am. man, there sure were a lot of big trees toppled on the lines. We'd just moved in to our new home back of Monroe.

Yeah, seeing that google earth pic sort of hits home the tragedy. Man, if he only went the other way or if he somehow was able to go aroudn the bend a bit more... Chris is right...gotta be prepared...10 essentials and let someoen know where you are going. Synthetics are a must especially in the wetter/colder months. In the summer, I'll slide...wear cotton shirts, but my pack's extra clothes are synthetics...e.g. polypro tops and bottoms.

How about Hollow Tree? I'm planning to do that one with the cache owner sometime this winter, try out my new showshoes. yes, that's a good one! Inmywoods will be getting that cache at some point this winter. Hey, maybe we can do it together; Adena has promised to go with me. That sounds like fun!

Sorry to hear about Harvey Manning. I've got tons of his books, including the one EraSeek mentions. I believe he was responsible for me discovering Toil Peak years ago and I eventually planted a cache there this summer. I met him years ago and we had him sign one of our hiking guides.
