  1. You make me jealous, Tigger. I am hoping to make it out to the SEway Park CITO event, but it is shaky still at this point. I still need someone to mentor me on exactly how to use my dang 60CS I bought last year to get me into this fun hobby.
  2. Chalk me up for a Garmin 60CS. If I could really grasp what all this one does, I might be getting one of the "X" models too. As it sits, I am contemplating buying one anyway or buying a couple Rino units for hunting expeditions.
  3. First, photos of my Andi, the arboreal dog who will help me find the caches located in hollow trees and such... Ike is not as bright, so you just get a lot of this out of him... Also, what is an ISQ cache as opposed to a regular one? Sorry for the ignorance.
  4. Just getting my feet wet on caches but what kind of food do you like and in what part of town will you be staying? I know me some food and have the figure to prove it!
  5. Thanks folks! You know, I was thinking you should plant Milk Bones in the caches to give your dogs an advantage in finding them (pig owners could put truffles in theirs ). Just kidding. I can only imagine what putting any kind of foodstuff in a cache would attract.
  6. Heya folks, Just getting started here. I got my GPS unit yesterday and plotted about 5 or 6 caches for this week to try and find ranging from a couple of the spirit quests since they are close to my home. I hope to see some of you around either on the treks or at a gathering sometime soon. Oh, here are my two trekking/caching partners too... This is Ike. And this is his mom, Andi, my German Shorthaired Pointers, companions, hunting buddies and friends. Good to meet y'all
  7. Yep, if you're patient you will find some sweet deals on Ebay. There is also a site that has some great deals on new and demo GPS units called http://www.bestpricegps.com/ good luck
  8. Yep, I just bought one used on Ebay for $380 with all the cords, chargers and mounting bracket. They have them from $400 or so brand new but you don't seem to see many used 60 C's or CS's come up. Keep an eye out and you will eventually find one too. They have one at Best Price GPS for $379!!! Good luck!
